Wonderful hotel

A wonderful hotel full of character. You would stay here for the breakfast alone!! A fabulous selection of healthy, fresh food served in the hotel’s wonderful cellar. Also, the room was clean, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is also good with lots of restaurants and bars close by. Also an easy walk to the old city. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I visit wonderful Riga. 😀

Lovely clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed but only one pillow. Would have liked drink making facilities in the room although free coffee machine in reception. Excellent breakfast available daily charged separately. Good location easy walking distance to the centre.

Very Enjoyable stay

Was over for the football with my Son. Location was excellent for the Old Town (about 20 Min) and the Stadium (5 min). Staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good and prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

It is very quiet despite hotel being nearly in the centre of the city. The shops, public transport and dining options are on the doorstep. City centre is in 10 minutes walk and old town in 15 minutes walk. The staff was polite and hotel was clean and warm during my visit in December 2023. I would book it for my next visit without hesitation.

Cosy rooms and nice neighbourhood

It was minus 21 degrees C, and I was worried the hotel would be cold, but it was really toasty, with heat coming through the radiator and floor throughout the night. The hotel is in a great location, with nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops on the doorstep. You could also get free water and coffee from reception, and the receptionists were lovely. The building and rooms looked cool in a traditional way, although our bathroom tiles were loose. It was 25 minutes walk to the old town.

Pleasant stay

It was a nice little hotel not too far away from the touristic sights. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. There was also a fridge and a little stove in the room, which was a nice option to have if we didn't feel like eating out. We arrived late and checking in was made really easy with self check in instructions.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, quiet rooms. My only complaint is that I was travelling for business and the wi-fi continuously cut-out during my stay, making it difficult to work.

They opened my door for a stranger

During one night the service staff opened the door for a complete stranger while I was trying to sleep. I was staying alone. Also, the room was sweltering hot even when outside temperature was less than 20 celcius.

This is a trash tier hotel. There is no AC. The shower in the bathtop was awful. The ceiling was cracked from water damage. The reception was too ill equipped to even provide a corkscrew. Avoid it if you can.

Room was very cold. Staff said its not hotels fault as in Riga heating is not turned on. I believe that although hotel is not responsible for heating in Riga, it has responsibility for its customers to provide comfortable accomodation as its the service that they are providing. Thus they could have organized some heaters etc in rooms to enable warm rooms still!

Almost everyone in the reception Was talking very bad English. Many customers had problems with the reception. Nobody in the reception was happy. The room smelled bacon every morning. Really bad smell! No air-condition downstairs? They was not so helpful. It was impossible to solve a shower to me after my run race. I have over 200 hotel nights every year and never seen this. After a lot of discussion I got to borrow a towel and washed me a little in the toilet. When I arrived the room was very dirty. It was hair from the under region at the toilet. Discussting. And the cleaning didn't even changed the towels.
