Extra large room was spacious but could be more comfy. Colours and materials in the room were nice and calming. Some noise coming through from the corridor. Service was welcoming and available. Breakfast was good but a bit more versatile. Sauna at the artic is extraordinary. Strong recommendation to visit sauna.

We had an amazing stay. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Really lovely hotel, our room wasn't very spacious but we didn't mind. The bath robes were a tad small in size. But everything else was spot on.

very nice hotel- recently renovated completely- nice art deco features. room was small but very comfortable and nicely furnished and nice bathroom. Staff very nice. Hotel right on the main square so easy walk everywhere and lots of dining options (keep in mind things close early though as is a small town) parking in courtyard. Highly recommend

The breakfast is wonderful. Room design and quality is fantastic. The only single point I would say that needed improvement is that there was some mould/discolouration in the caulking in the shower. I won’t deduct points for this but I think showers always need extra maintance and caulking needs to be changed often in high wet areas for 5 star hotels. Service was great. And location is fantastic.

Historic details, modern facilities, good service

We had a fireplace suite (Kakluuni-sviitti) with one room and a bathroom. The fireplace is historical and very beautiful but not in use. Actually the whole hotel is historical and staircases are protected. Also doors of bathrooms are a good example of conservation and restoration of cultural property. Our bathroom itself was very modern, stylish and functional. Not a drop of water was spilled outside the showering area because the glass wall and and the glass door were very good. The hotel is full of historical details and custom furniture combined with modern facilities and excellent service. We even had a sparkling water machine and a steamer for ironing in our room. Air conditioning was self adjustable and very effective. Breakfast was very good, too. Scrambled eggs or fried egg and bacon were served to the table. Pancakes and fresh fruit were also available. The location of the hotel is almost the best possible. It is situated in the corner of the old town near a department store, main sights, many good restaurants and the bus station of Porvoo.
