A nice place with a perfect location for all things RRG or Natural Bridge. Its a bit of a trip back in time style and comfort wise but its location and proximity to everything is awesome. Id stay again for sure.
We went to the gorge for Valentine's Day weekend and although the weather was terrible and we couldn't get out for any hiking, we had a lovely time. The cottage was the perfect place to cook meals, spend quality time playing games, and it's close to a coffee/ice cream shop and restaurant with love music
This was exactly as advertised. Simple, relaxing cottage close to most everything. The stay is quiet and the road noise is only noticeable outside the cottage; once inside you don’t hear it.

It is in a convenient location close to the popular hiking trails and zip lining. But:
note to owner: The Bathroom Sink Has A Leaking Problem. Water is ruining your floor and baseboard. The floors were clean enough but , under the couch and lazy boy chair was a pile of thick dust bunnies. Also, something that probably can't be helped , was the musty damp smell throughout the home. I think this is because of the crawl space underneath.
Cute little cottage to stay at while exploring the area.

I liked how it was quiet and close to the gorge and it was close to smaller places to get a bite to eat and not to far from grocery and easy to get around since I lost cell service first day down there. Would def go back.
The house was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals for our 3 day stay. A bit more cabinet space for food would be nice as I don't like to put food in a bottom cabinet where mice might be present (although we didn't see any). Checkout instructions weren't very clear but we saw the drop box at the office.I would stay here again. Nice, quiet and comfortable.
Key pickup was no problem. Nice home-base for day hiking in the park; tho located on a state route, the parkway runs just behind so noise might be an issue during warmer months. The bigger bed is not a queen... (nor is it a king). The shower is not suitable for tall or big people

Our stay
The house had a strong mildew smell. The TV wouldn’t work because it wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi.
Great location to area. Great for couple or small family. Kitchen is bare bones without dish washer. Shower is tiny and no fan in bathroom. We had a great stay and would stay again. The power went out due to storm and I would recommend some candles. Enjoyed hiking and ‘The Brick’ Ice Cream Shop just down the road. The Sky Bridge Station has great dogs and burgers. Hops is another great place to eat. Daniel Boone Coffee shop has wonderful coffe and breakfast.
3-night stay. House was comfortable and quiet. It's old and dated, so don't expect anything technology-wise. Location is great for visiting RRG. Bonus is it's just a couple hundred yards from The Brick (coffee, ice cream). Since the listing stated there was a DVD player, we took some old movies for "a rainy day," but found there is no DVD player -- just a Roku TV, which is ironic since there is no wifi. Cell signal was OK.
This was such a cute place! Secluded from neighbors on all sides. Sits on a road with some cars that wave at you on the front porch. Extremely close to an ice cream coffee shop and a rustic bar/restaurant. Very close to Creation Falls and the road leads directly to the scenic loop. Off exit 40. You check in at exit 33 and get your key and then drive to exit 40 to the cottage. ELL reception is ok at cottage. It does not have a dvd player as advertised! Met the owner and she was very sweet.
My cousin and I had been talking about going on small getaway. This was her first trip away from her son and the gorge was the perfect distance for her. We're both local to the area and grew up going to RRG. We both love it there. Long story short, the cottage was great for our 3 night stay. We enjoyed the backporch and had our meals out there, along with enjoying the firepit and backyard. The cottage was within distance of everything we wanted to do. We plan on making this an annual trip. The cottage grew on us!
This cabin is so very close to everything you might want to do: kayaking, hiking, zip lining, horseback riding, and the Gorge Underground. 3 of us came for an extended Girl's Weekend and had a blast. The host was very responsive to any needs we had. Tips: at the time of our trip the TV would not work (no WiFi connection) nor was there a DVD player. That didn't bother us as we were busy exploring the area. The one afternoon we were "rained out" we just spent the time playing board games!Things to bring: extra trash bags, spices, can opener, wine opener, paper towels, games, and a beach towel if you plan on any water activities. Check In and Check Out were a breeze!

Nice but could use work.
The house was nice and in a great location to Red River Gorge and the Natural Bridge. However, it could have used a better cleaning. There were dead knats on the window seal in the bathroom. The shower, which was tiny, had some mildew. There was something that looked like powder in the floor of the master bedroom. Found a few dead spiders and some live ones too. The mirror over the sink is pretty useless. The house smelled musky. The house had a Roku TV, but did not have internet to have Wifi.

Overall the space was great. There was some things that could have been better. Cobwebs all over the ceiling so we did have spiders even in the beds. The shower was barely putting out pressure so took us much longer to shower. Also no DVD player so we had to drive around the next day to ask for one. It does have a mildew smell even when cold, so not sure where that is coming from. The beds at first didn't feel so great but once settled they were fine. could use new living room furniture the recliner sounds like its gonna shoot a spring out. Sounds like a lot of complaints. No wifi which we knew, little reception too, so recommend a map, or downloading some on your gps to navigate around.(real easy things they could fix to elevate the stay) Because otherwise the place is charming, located right off the road and about 2 mins from ice cream, coffee and beer. Also a road leading. to the Sky bridge and other trails. Great for a weekend get away if amenities done matter much.
