Nicely appointed cottage that had everything you could need.
Nicely appointed cottage that had everything you could need.Plenty of internal space, outside rooftop patio and hidden garden area.No wifi signal, and poor mobile phone signal added to the seclusion - away from the real world. Very rural, transport necessary to get anywhere.

Woodstore Cottage is a fabulous cottage straight out of 'Grand Designs'! Well designed room layout, high-end furnishings and fittings, lamps, comfortable bed, two bathrooms etc. Nothing needs adding to kitchen/cooking equipment (I could not find an oven glove, a minor inconvenience), everything was there. We went in November and the cottage has central heating with a smokeless fuel burner - as we were only there for 4 nights and we did not feel like the chore of lighting fire, raking out ashes - even though we are two sprightly, active seniors- it was chilly in the mornings and evenings. That is the only reason I did not score excellent in the 'comfort' category. We would be happy to spend a week in the cottage but probably only in spring, summer.

Unfortunately television didn’t work but as we were only there 3 nights weren’t over worried.
Unfortunately television didn’t work but as we were only there 3 nights weren’t over worried. Place was spotless and bed very comfortable. Fire didn’t give out as much heat as ours at home - we have a log burner - but perhaps that was lack of practice on our part! Co-op in village excellent - a good size and well stocked. Pubs nearby very friendly but didn’t eat there as we preferred to stay in cottage in the evening as it was very comfortable and well appointed

Wettest week we have ever spent in the area at this time of year !! Great to have such a comfortable cottage to return to after a wet day out. We've stayed in the cottage before and have always loved it there. Only down side is the lack of a garden - but we didn't miss it this time around. I'm sure we will be back.

Fabulous cottage in a good location for walking, unfortunately the one village pub only does food at the weekend so we had to drive in the evening. On the plus side the birdsong in the morning & listening to the owl at night was wonderful.
