Rosa Mexicana is in a great location, about a 5-minute walk from the main square. It's very beautiful, and the staff and owner are very helpful in every way! It's really good value for money. 4* for cleanliness only. Thank you!
So cozy! They keep it so clean. They offer
fruits, coffee, water and Pan Dulce in the morning. Brenda is great very helpful. For me went Beyond my expectations. Good Place to stay and plus the Plaza de las Nieves is steps away.
Hotel Rosa Mexicano is a very quiet, clean place and the ladies at the front desk were very attentive, accomodating and willing to help. It's a 10 minute walk to the historic center. Kudos to Reyna and Gloria.
My stay at Rosa Mexicano was great. The hotel is walking distance to El Centro and El Zocalo. The room was updated and cleaned every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The terrace overlooking the park was a great spot to enjoy a cold beer in the afternoon. Looking forward to going back.
For the rates I was charged I’d say it’s good. No parking u have to park your car on another lot and pay per day. They don’t answer the phone so makes it hard to communicate with a live person. Place is ok if u just want to sleep. Staff is friendly and place is clean .
This is an OK place to stay. Price is good. Location is good. Its clean and comfortable.
My biggest complaint is that it is too much of a pain to get in and out. THe doors are ona weird securty system that doesnt work and usually they have an inner door locked and oyu have to get assistance to get in. It makes it a pain evrytime you come back to the hotel and sometimes even to leave. Also, it is very noisy in the room and you can hear every car that passes...mostly bad in the morning. There are 2 skylights in the room which made the room extremly bright as well with no lights..again the worst part being in the morning.
We had an incident at this property and 3 weeks later its still not fixed. My cousin got stung by a scorpion next to her bed inside the room and no one offerd any help. We rushed to the hospital and when we got back after 3 hrs (it was already 230am) the
Maid just said.. the room is clean now, you can go ahead and sleep in there. We packed our things and left to another hotel that took us in at 330a.m. we had to pay again for the rest of the nights we were staying and next day went to Rosa Mexicano to ask for our money back and medical expenses... 3 weeks later still nothing and now they are blocking my calls and not answering the phone.. i would not recommend this place to anyone. Owner and staff dont care and they obviously knew about the scorpions since they said, they are in the roof.. sometimes they come down but not a lot🙄😡🦂...
Check in took way longer than any hotel ive stayed in in Oaxaca City. The hotel also didn’t have much lighting inside so it didn’t feel too welcoming. The pictures also make the hotel look more colorful and bright than it actually is.
This was a great spot, the ladies working there were really friendly and helpful. Hotel is about 10-15 min walking from el zocalo (centro). There’s a mercado (el centenario) right around the corner to eats. The hotel can be a bit challenging to find because they don’t have a name posted outside but it a light pink building right across the park. We were really happy with our stay and recommend this to anyone traveling to Oaxaca.

Beautifully decorated and maintained older property. There was some confusion about our reservation but Alberto was very gracious and helpful. Do be aware that you have to climb to the second or third floor to get to the guest rooms.
One of the worst places I have ever stayed.
- Very noisy all hours of the day. Next to a busy road with lots of traffic.
- No hot water in morning or evenings.
- Air conditioner was old and loud, made constant popping and clicking sounds. Could not sleep without cover my head with pillows.
The 2 ladies that worked there were wonderful. But the towels were not changed daily and the day they changed them they smelled bad. The hand soap was not refilled we used our own soap. The place was left unattended at night only the wonderful ladies were there we kind of felt unsafe. The tv was not always working.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Had issue getting TV setup for my Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts. Account would not stay logged in and logging in was difficult. Also, the light breakfast of coffee, pan, and fruit was late on a couple mornings. Otherwise very pleased.
Staff was friendly but most of the amenities promised did not work. The AC did not work and when we asked the people at the front they already knew there was an issue but still gave us the room. The water was not always hot and we couldn't shower 1 day out of the 2 we were there. The wifi did not reach the room and streaming on the tv was inconsistent. The credit card machine did not work in the morning and they said we could pay later and gave us the room which we were happy about initially. However, they woke us up at 11 30 in the night to pay. We paid a good amount of money for this hotel and none of the basic amenities worked as expected.
Un día no hubo agua caliente.
Debieran de tener una persona en recepción, en nuestra estancia de 5 noches, (temporada alta) no había y se tenía que tocar una campana para atender.
Los domingos no hacen la limpieza del cuarto
