I stayed for one night whilst travelling for a mixture of business and pleasure. It had been a long hot day so it was a pleasure to step into the cool of this lovely old inn. The welcome was warm and friendly and in fact I think the friendliness of the staff is my standout reason to stay. The room was simply furnished but spacious and comfortable and importantly cool with a fan provided. I ate dinner and breakfast there both were tasty and served with a smile and friendly chat. Thanks to everyone.
Nice pub/dining/hotel.
Plenty of parking and a large day/nighttime menu.
Breakfast was very good.
Good friendly atmosphere.
Good staff.
Rebecca on reception who also managed the bar and dining was very helpful.
Also a mention for Christina.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff friendly and helpful
Difficult and expensive to get a taxi anywhere
Room large. Carpet fraying
Breakfast good, cooked to order
Coffee and tea very average
Had an excellent stay here, staff very friendly and accomodating, rooms spotless, food excellent for both evening meal and breakfast and very reasonably priced. Only slight negative was the room maybe needs some slight updating, the carpet was coming away from the wall and was fraying and the kettle had to be used on the floor as the flex didnt reach the plug socket. I wouldnt let that put anyone off staying here though. The little touches (emergency supplies box in the bathroom and the fresh milk for room) were very much appreciated! We would happily come and stay again!
We were staying for a wedding and one of us had to leave early while the other not till much later in the day. I had reached out asking if we could get late checkout, even just an additional hour would have helped. They were super kind and had arranged late check out for us with no problems. Super helpful and friendly staff
And lovely food. Only moan would be we only had a double bed rather then king-size (1st world problems I know)

Located in the lovely town of West Haddon which provided a great area to walk around. I base the majority of my critique on 3 main factors which are:- shower, night's sleep and breakfast with only 1 of these 3 being up to par. The room was nice enough even though the décor within the corridors, restaurant and bathroom was very tired looking. They did at least provide a fan which allowed for a very good night's sleep. The shower aspired to be abysmal though. Very little water pressure coupled with a shower head which would not stay upright and hot water that took about 5 minutes to come through led to a very frustrated hotel guest. Breakfast was ok I guess. A cooked breakfast where I requested the bread not toasted although one slice was either stale or had been partially toasted before they realized. The sausages were supermodel thin and the apple juice was tepid. Staff were nice and friendly although I did have to ring the reception bell every time I needed to be seen. Overall I was disappointed with the small touches that could have made a big difference.
Very warming reception on arrival .
Very good food in restaurant and excellent Breakfast .
Only down size was shower ok but not very powerful in my room
Definitely recommend and i will stay again when in area
