Great spot! Clean and comfortable. Thank you Jules for your recomendations of local restaurants, Surreys a true neighborhood gem, the shrimp and grits was amazing! Also, thank you for being generous with check out, as our flights left later in the afternoon. Enjoyed the balcony playing card games and sipping wine in the evenings while watching the local scene play out. Get yourselves to NOLA, enjoy the amazing sights, music, and always great food and hospitality.
It was a great experience. Great neighborhood with excellent restaurants and felt very safe. Parking right next door a plus. Would stay here again. The owner was very responsive to any questions.
My friends and I ended up staying at another property owned by these same hosts-I could not figure out how to change the review location, The host was beyond accommodating in switching us and took the utmost care to ensure we were pleased.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. It is located in a great neighborhood - both for exploring and enjoying from the living room balcony. Our host, Jules, was gracious and very helpful, before, during, and even after our stay (when we realized we’d left a couple of beloved items behind). We highly recommend this property!
Came to NOLA for conference at convention center but wanted a place other than hotel. This was perfect. Great kitchen and living area. Comfortable beds and great bath. Area was convenient to restaurants and easy Uber ride to other must visit areas. Owners very responsive to questions.
The home was about 1 to 2 miles from all there is to see in NOLA. If you are ok with waking 30 mins to the sites, then it is a great location. Cute stores and restaurants all around. Somewhat quiet neighborhood. Home has historic charm. One of the bathrooms does not have a door. Not sure that was on the listing. I would stay here again. The owners were very sweet and shared their local knowledge.
Property was charming and conveniently located between the Warehouse and Garden Districts. One night of three was a little noisy which is the only reason for 4 stars. Several restaurants in walking distance and bus transport for very convenient for a Magazine Street shopping trip. Host communications were spot on. Will stay here again.
The location of the unit was on Magazine Street and close to the action. A very reasonable walk to the French Quarter, and other shops, restaurants and sites. Owner was very responsive to any matters. Neighborhood was safe. There is a little Park one block away we walked to with our dogs. The unit was large and very comfortable making our stay wonderful. We had everything needed for a nice time in the big easy.
The pictures really don’t do this place justice. It’s even cuter than we imagined and all the details really make the space. It ’s got that classic New Orleans charm with some beautiful updates. I loved all the beautiful vintage furniture and the safety of the neighborhood. Easy to walk to coffee shops and restaurants near by. Would definitely stay again, highly recommended.
The place was great. It was clean, spacious and the beds were super comfortable. It was fun to walk around the neighborhood and enjoy looking at the houses and going into the local shops just down the street. Just far enough away from all the hussle and bussle of downtown, but close enough to make it conveient to get there quickly to enjoy the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, etc.
This was wonderful clean accommodations
, nights were quiet and super easy to Uber anywhere you want to go while leaving your car safe and sound.
Hosts were fantastic checked on us throughout our stay.
I would recommend to anyone! And would love to stay again!
Jules' property is wonderful and the photographs, while good, don't accurately reflect how nice and how large it is. There is no downside to the property as long as someone in your party is okay climbing up and down a very stable, built-in ladder to access their bedroom. The beds are comfortable, the water pressure is excellent and the air conditioning works really well.
Within walking distance there is an excellent place for breakfast, Hi Volt, and a couple of coffee shops with drinkable coffee, PJ's and French Truck. There are also a couple of bars and other restaurants which we did not try, plus some shops and I treated myself to a gorgeous pair of Krewe sunglasses.
Being somewhat off the beaten path, this is a great location if you want to stay somewhere a bit quieter or are driving and don't want to pay for parking and don't mind catching an Uber or the Street Car to get to the French Quarter or the Warehouse District. The Street Car is about a 10 minute walk and drops you off on Canal Street right across from the French Quarter as well as other places like the zoo or the Garden District.
Jules was very responsive and helpful and she has a beautiful, friendly Doberman who greeted us when we arrived. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I would definitely stay here again.
Due to the Coronavirus we arrived a day before the city shut down. Jules did her best to accommodate us by answering questions. The apartment was clean and tidy. Hopefully one day we can come back and get the total experience. PS don’t use WAZE it will put you about 3 blocks off.
We looked for a place that was walking distance from the Convention Center but also in a nice neighborhood. This was cottage was just the ticket. Clean and comfortable.
Excellent Hosts.
This was a great location, easy to find and lots of restaurants within walking distance or short drives. We also enjoyed the space to relax and catch up. Property manager was easy to work with. The space looked exactly like the photos.
This property felt bigger than pictured because it's very open and the ceilings are incredibly high. The kitchen and living room were super fun gathering places and the beds were quite comfortable. It was the perfect location to walk everywhere we needed.
The property was a great place to relax and unwind after each busy day. Comfortable, clean, and quie
