Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Beautiful room in a prime location in the heart of Nelson. Lots of lovely little extra touches (a deck of playing cards, a fine selection of in-room teas, hair conditioner) made our stay feel quite luxurious. Looking forward to a return visit.

I will likely stay at this spot every time I come to Nelson. It was nice to be right downtown, and walkable distance to many amenities. Having a larger truck I was worried I would have a hard time with parking but the street parking

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Right downtown so walking to shops and restaurants as good as it gets. But the real gem is the hotel itself, it is extremely clean, the rooms are well appointed, the beds excellent, full kitchen with everything you need plus a washer/dryer in the room. This hotel is privately owned and every inch of the property shows pride of ownership, the attention to detail to make sure your stay is perfect is well appreciated. If you are looking for a different hotel experience that will put a smile on your face then stay here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our garden suite had everything we needed. It was within easy walking distance to all the great shopping and eating establishments in downtown area. You can tell that Marika & Elon take great pride in providing a high quality experience for their guests. Will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to our friends as well.

We loved our stay! The room set up with a pullout couch was perfect for three adults. Kitchen, in suite laundry, and safe parking made our stay worry free. The location is also great for access to shops, dining, museums, and a spa. It’s also close to a local rec center for gym and pool access.

Best stay in Nelson

This was our second stay and it couldn’t have been better. The suite was huge and had a beautiful view of the water. It was spotless, bright, modern and the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to cook a few meals. It’s easy to control the temperature and the A/C is very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and my teenager enjoyed the Murphy bed in the living room. Check in was easy and secure with a personalized door code, and Marika and Elon were always available to answer questions or provide tourist tips. Parking IS tight so don’t bring a monster truck but Nelson is so walkable we rarely took our car out once it was parked. Highly recommend and we can’t wait for our next stay!

Very nice suites. Everything you need. Clean and new. Rooms are quiet. Located in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. There is secured gated parking for cars , suv, and smaller trucks. If you have larger truck, there is parking out front on the road.

This is our second stay at Sterling Inn. We enjoyed it just as much as our first. The suits are well appointed, comfortable and include everything you need and more. Little extras like a drying rack you can use for delicates instead of the dryer and white noise machine in the bedroom. The beds are super comfortable, including the Murphy bed in the living room. Kitchen is well stoked, including ziplock bags, tinfoil and cellophane wrap. The location is perfect- short walk to the water front, a block from the Main Street with shops and restaurants. Limited parking is provided on site with a locked gate - easy to access and secure. Although there is no staff on site, the owners are very responsive and engaged. We will definitely stay here again on our next rip to Nelson. Thank you!
