Terrible experience. Dirty room. Mold on walls. There was a leak in the toilette that wasn't fixed until 9:30 pm when we were going to sleep already. We couldnt go to the toilette or shower during the entire stay. It was very noisy. You could hear everything from other rooms or from street. We couldn't sleep at all. They didnt find us another room or compensate us. Will not recommend going there to anybody!!
The ‘quaint guest house’ was not what we expected, it was, we thought, more like a backpackers hostel. Nowhere on the website does it mention that most rooms are accessible via a steep flight of stairs, after a recent knee replacement operation I wouldn’t have booked this accommodation if I had known.
The standard of the rooms was extremely poor; the rooms look nothing like the website. We didn’t book the economy or basic rooms and I dread to think what they were like.
We were concerned about the security to the room as the door was very flimsy and the whole door moved as we tried to unlock it, a pity I can’t post a video of it!
We declined to stay in such poor accommodation and left.
This is a beautiful traditional hostel which is adequately clean and spacious. Check in is by code and you may not have anyone meet you but that is okay. Apart from the ambiance the most wonderful part of my stay was a lovely woman who prepared the most tasty breakfast which was all laid out for me. It was Ramadan and she was fasting but that didn’t stop her from making sure I ate my share!!! Being Jewish I felt totally safe in Nazareth with my cousins and enjoyed my stay at Al Mutran. Highly recommend if you are okay with basic accommodation. Really worth getting the deluxe room so that you have lots of air.
Incredibly kind hosts, especially considering one of our party had a positive Covid test at the airport and had to stay there extra days to isolate. Incredible views, walkable, good AC and hot water. Would definitely stay again and not look anywhere else!
Very charming Ottoman house, with high ceilings and original floors and architectural elements. The staff is warm, friendly, and professional. The location can’t be beat, on a quiet square (used as a parking lot) in the historic old town. Just a short stroll to all the major sights, cafes, and market. The place could use some upgrades here and there (mattresses and bathrooms, for instance), but an overall enjoyable stay.
Upon checking in we were shown to our room which was not what we had booked. We had booked the “family room” which it had been listed meant two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We were told that wasn’t the case and when we pulled up this reservation and listing as presented on hotels.com we were basically dismissed and told that it was an old listing and dated (as if that was somehow something we could have ever known). After going back and forth for a good 15 minutes we realized that a door which connected the two units as shown on this listing could in fact be opened, we were told we still couldn’t have the full space in case someone came and wanted to rent it (it was about 4 pm and there were only two other rooms occupied that night). At the end of it they begrudgingly agreed to giving us what we originally thought we signed up for. It was perfectly adequate beyond that-good breakfast, but there are no “Egyptian cotton sheets” and I was frustrated by the lack of problem-solving that we were met with upon arrival. I encourage hotels.com to revisit this location and update available rooms and photos

Friendly Guest house in the heart of Nazareth
The owner is very friendly and does everything to satisfy the guests. The bed was not convenient. The television and mobile phone did not work at all in our room (room # 10)
Our stay in the Al Mutran has been a highlight of our time in Israel, we had the absolute warmest of welcomes from Eman, he took time to tell us about the hotel, and the surrounding area and was a perfect host! The hotel is beautiful and charming, and it was an absolute pleasure to stay!

Good location but a bit shabby
I don’t know when the pictures of Al-Mutran that you find on their website where take. But I guess it has been a while because the premises are much more shabby than what we see. Everything needs a new coat of point and some things, like the toilet seat in our room, really need to be replaced. Considering the price they charge, I would have expected something more. On the good side, Al-Mutran Guest House is very well located, a few minutes from the Annunciation Church and some good restaurants (I particularly recommend Tishree). And the owner is a very nice and helpful man so If you need any i formation about Nazareth, just ask him.
Lovely eclectic guesthouse in aged Arab family home. Great breakfast included. Oder very welcoming and helpful with local information from buses to opening hours.
Al Mutran is a gorgeous little guest house located in the heart of the old city in Nazareth. From the very beginning, I was welcomed with open arms and hospitality very rarely seen these days. Odeh, the general manager, took great pride and care in explaining the history of the guest house and the surrounding area, making sure all our questions were answered, and that we were always well fed and rested. Also the wonderful breakfast every day was a great time to interact with the locals and fellow travelers alike. Would definitely be here again next time I'm in Nazareth!
I cannot wait to return to Nazareth just so I can stay at the Mutran Guest House!
My stay was such a memorable one. I loved the comfort, decor, and authenticity of Mutran.
The traveler gets an authentic Nazareth experience as they see a beautiful traditional Ottoman-style building with a comfortable common area seating. The rooms are exquisitely decorated and have everything you need (including a wonderful air conditioner for summer days). The common areas are such a nice touch and allow you to take in the Nazareth scenery and meet likeminded travelers. The balcony, especially the one on the third floor, is perfect for relaxing after a long day or for a morning coffee. The location is key, as you can easily get to Mary’s Well and the Church of Annunication walking.
Most importantly, I highly valued the genuine caring nature of the manager, Odeh. You walk in and are warmly greeted by Odeh, who makes you feel right at home. He serves a wonderful omelette and makes sure that you know the sites to see, all with a smile!
This gem in Nazareth is a MUST!
Pleasant and basic hotel. Very, very welcoming proprietor and very helpful throughout. Helped us to negotiate the circuitous and non-intuitive narrow road system for 250 metres to reach the hotel car park from the road. Breakfast (buffet) good. Hotel itself quiet but everywhere in Nazareth suffers the massively powerful amplified call-to-prayer at night and at dawn (approx 2200 and 0400 when we were there in May - but there's nothing you can do about it). I think they do evening meals, but not when we were there on the Sabbath.
