Needs improvement, but it meets basic needs
The check in was in Italian; the hostess did not speak English and did not have info in English for us. There was a packet in the room in English - it mentioned breakfast but did not, for example, include the time for breakfast. There was no information on how to return the keys (we were doing a single night stay). It was about a 15-minute walk to the Duomo and about 20 to one of the piazzas where there were bars and restaurants (in the historical center).
The bed was okay, but there were only 2 real pillows (thin) and then a few decorative pillows (not enough for me). The Air Conditioning unit worked great (I actually got cold). The shower was fine, but if you hit some button loud music came on through the speaker system in the shower (Really????) and I couldn't figure out how to turn just the music off and/or down. The breakfast wasn't worth messing with - we didn't even sit at the table after looking at the measly offerings of packaged bread stuff. Everything was clean, and there was an elevator to get your luggage up to the top floor. We didn't really notice any street noise, which we appreciated. The wifi worked well.
