It was a pleasure to stay in such a historic facility (built by the CCC) showing excellent craftmanship and pride in the work performed and that it has been so well maintained. Our cabin was comfy and cozy and very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to try the restaurant, but the offerings looked good.
The room was clean. It was warm and kept the chill off of us. The fireplace warmed the room up quickly. The bathroom is old but roomy and functional. The construction of the cabin was really interesting with all those logs and the stone fireplace.
Cute, rustic cottages within a beautiful wooded state park. Plenty of games offered from the lodge and a charming restaurant and patio. Highly recommend!

Beautiful woods and trails. Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoy the rustic, yet modernized log cabins from the 1930’s.
Great rustic cabins have been modernized with heat air conditioning and TV. Beautiful area with native ancient white pines. Good food at the restaurant.
This is such a great place to go to unplug for a few days! There is WiFi, but it is not fast, which is exactly what we were looking for! We stayed three nights and did not leave the grounds. The restuarant is open for breafast, lunch, and supper, and there is a small fridge in each cabin. The staff is attentive, helpful, and friendly; we happened to be there during a winter storm, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. The best part, though, was the beauty of the forest around us. There is nothing like a hike in the snowy woods!
My daughter and I Ioved the cabin and the quiet, peaceful surroundings. All the staff personnel we met were friendly and accommodating.
The food in the restaurant was good; we had supper there the day we arrived and we also enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
Best of all, the hiking trails and nature.
Our cabin was small, but it was equipped with everything we needed.
I'm a huge fan now and I'm sure we'll come back.
Off the beaten path, but SO much better than staying at a chain hotel! Cabins are older, but in excellent shape. Very comfortable bed, gas fireplace and so much charm.
Great little getaway. The cabin was nice, the restaurant was great and so cozy. Gift shop on site had everything you need for a nice little fire. Even smores! We will definitely be back!
The cabin needed somewhere for our suitcase to sit on. I used a chair but then that takes away from us sitting together at the table. mattress needs a mattress pad could feel every indent in mattress, understand it's a cabin, but the reason we pay more is for better accommodations. Enjoyed the cabin and park very much, just a few pointers from an older renter. Thank you!
We have stayed at White Pines cabins for many years and love it. We especially go during the week and in the off-season - we practically have it all to ourselves. The meals at the lodge are always plentiful and delicious (we bought a whole peach cobbler to take home, it was so good!). The beds are comfortable, the gas fireplace makes it very cozy. There's a small fridge, but no microwave (no cooking in the cabins). And the firepits outside are welcoming to small gatherings. We've been there in different seasons and both the heat and a/c work well. The only drawback is that the shower is rather small for my 6'4" and hefty husband.
There are many very walkable trails; even one for those with disabilities. Children can play in a small play area (swings and a crickly slide). Over near the tent camping area are a couple fords where you can splash and cool off in the water.
There are a few local restaurants we like to frequent. Whenever we return to White Pines, it's like coming home.
I needed an overnight stay on a trip from Georgia to Minnesota. This place seemed quaint, and it is. The grounds are very nice and well kept. There is a cute gift shop and a restaurant on site. The room however...was pretty archaic. Rustic and cabin like, but if you are looking for hot water, a place to plug in a device, forget it. I had to plug the coffee pot in on the floor to use it. No outlets located conveniently. The worst of it was when we pulled the trundle bed out and found a chewed up frito bag and mouse droppings. The bathtub had bar soap from a prior resident. There was a tip envelope for the maid service. Audacious! We slept on our own blanket to keep from getting dirty. Not recommended until they do some reno and cleaning.
Tina and joel was always very helpful if we needed anything during our nine day stay! Staff in dinning area were sweet and helpful, food was excellent. LOVED the prace..no one around to spoil my alone time.
Thanks
Johnny. Moses
