Late check in was made available to us using a no contact check in. Facility was very nice. Staff answered the phone in a timely manner anytime we called with questions. Rooms were nice and tidy with comfortable beds.

A really nice backpackers hostel. The rooms were well put together and warm during the winter. Lots of space in the kitchen and lounge and bathrooms are being renovated. Staff were really helpful and hospitable - I'd stay here again, for sure. One of the most comfortable places I have stayed on my trip through NZ.

The room was a bit grubby (especially the fridge which had not been cleaned), and definitely needs some upgrades. Some resident locals seem to have taken over the hostel (being loud in the corridor and sort of dominating the communal spaces). There was no backpacker vibe at all.

There are people who stay there permanently, thus it felt more crowded than expected. Expect it to be way busier in summer months with the perms tourists. Had irresponsible people who didn't clean up their dishes and left it in the sink, food left untouched (for god knows how long) in the microwave toaster.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich Basic.Die Kühlschränke vollgestopft,verschimmelt.Bad ok und sauber.Ich wurde von einer Kakerlake begrüßt,welche umgehend beseitigt wurde. Das Café nebenan ist toll!

Till att börja med fick vi vänta på hostelvärden i en halvtimme för att checka in, trots att vi kom inom ramarna av check-in-tiden. Vårt dubbelrum liknade en fängelsecell, saknade avlastningsytor och kändes inte heller rent. Det gemensamma köket var smutsigt och kaosartat och kylarna var rent av äckliga. Vi fick inte heller checka ut i fred, utan femton minuter före utcheckningstiden stormade städpersonal in i rummet och började bädda ur sängarna, trots att både vi och våra tillhörigheter fortfarande var kvar i rummet.
