Room clean but the electrical plugs were loose, the cabinet for the fridge was falling and the maid took the bar of soap and didnt replace it on room refresh. The service was great. Breakfast was the same every other day but good.

A quiet place to stay, with good location

I like this hotel when I visit the Monterey area because it's quiet, clean and not in the Row area but close enough to it. There's a nice public beach nearby and walking trails. The breakfast choices are very good too and it's included. The mobile service reception (for AT&T) is 5G+, so I don't even use the free WiFi because it's not a secure connection, and I mainly travel there for business. The only thing I have complains about is the bed. The mattress is on a hard side for me, and the pillows are the opposite - way too soft and provide almost no support for the head Other than that, it's quite good. However, if you travel by car, and have space for your favorite pillow, bring it with you to save you from the neck pain!
