The Corn Palace Cottage - Great Location

Welcome y'all! Our home, which was built in 1925, is located in the historical area of Mitchell downtown. walking distance to the Worlds Only Corn Palace, Pepsi-Cola Community Center & Theater, Antique Mall, Escape Rooms, Coffee Shop, Cupcake Shop, Movie Theater and so much more! Includes off road parking for 2 vehicles. We love attending an event at the Corn Palace and not having to find a parking spot. We can just walk! Makes a great date weekend.

Once again Your stay has an amazing view of the World's Only Corn Palace! In the evening you can view the light up domes, while walking to all the events at the Corn Palace and downtown. If you enjoy a little bit of history, antiques, & modern touch you’ll find our home enjoyable.

On Wednesday’s we are utilizing a private office in the home from 9-5 . There is another office space in the kitchen for you to use. Please note that if you are checking in on Wednesday, their would be someone in the office from 9-5. (We can make adjustments for your check in on Wednesday if you would like to check in earlier.)

If traveling to the Black Hills, we do have two other Airbnbs in Spearfish SD for you to enjoy!

Charming Little Place

Charming little place, perfect for a couple looking to be close to a Corn Palace venue. An absolute delight for a short weekend stay vs a motel room. Beautifully decorated, well taken care of, extremely clean. Great communication w/host. Would stay again!

Perfect Location

This is our second time staying here and we love it. The place is well equipped for cooking meals at home and has dining options nearby. Will definitely be back again on our next trip to Mitchell.

Excellent little getaway

This property is AMAZING! It has little amenities around the house, a kitchen that has cookware, and the area was quiet. Parking on a Friday night can be tricky due to its location near The Corn Palace, but overall a fantastic place!! Highly recommend!

Great place, great location!

Fun, cozy little place, with a great location. Decor was fun and appropriate with the Corn Palace right outside the front door! It was very clean and well put together. Amenities were spot on, and even had a few extra little surprises :).

The house and its location were perfect- clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Within walking distance of shopping and food. Host was easy to communicate with. Our relatives who had booked hotels for the reunion were jealous of what we found.

Our home for the last four years . . .

While our daughter studied at DWU these past four years, we ALWAYS stayed at the Corn Palace Cottage and ENJOYED every visit. We looked forward to our stay knowing that the cottage had EVERYTHING we needed. The communication with the owners made it feel like FAMILY. Everything is so close and convenient. Stellar location, comfortable stay

I stayed at the cottage with my middle school son and his friend for their event at the Corn Palace. The cottage has an ideal location for any time you want easy access to Downtown Mitchell. It was a quick drive to the aquatic center and easy walking for food. I'll take bed toppers next time we stay because the bed and the pull-out sofa were too firm for us, but I don’t count that as a fault. Perfectly acceptable for our stay. The shower is tiny, which was a non-issue for the boys or me; however, it would have been uncomfortable for my 6' 3", 250# husband. Not a deal breaker, just something to know. Overall, a really lovely place to stay and enjoy Mitchell! The cottage is well-appointed, charming, and comfortable in all regards. The boys thought it was our most fun trip to Mitchell yet. The only disappointing part was having to cut our trip unexpectedly short!

We stayed at the cottage for a night while on our way to the Badlands and Black Hills for a week. The space is perfect, has everything you need, and is right across the street from the Corn Palace. We would definitely stay there again!
