Our stay was lovely. The Inn is beautiful and very clean. The Innkeepers were very nice and took care of everything so our stay was comfortable. The town of Manteo was so much fun to explore.

This bed and breakfast was lovely. I enjoyed the happy hours, ambiance and warmth of this property. The gourmet breakfasts were amazing. Fresh baked goods daily and coffee/teas/water was a nice touch. I enjoyed sitting on the 3/4 wrap porch and it also offered two fire pits, and plenty of outside seating. Simply put very inviting bed and breakfast.

Great place to stay for a concert or shopping trip

We had a fabulous stay! Check in was quick and easy. There are always homemade goodies, wine and cheese trays out and available. Very comfortable lobby/living room set up. Our rooms were comfortable and quiet. We stayed for a concert and there isn't much parking space at the inn but it isn't a super busy street to find something close by. Loved interacting with the staff and other guests. The breakfast was amazing!

Cozy Bed and Breakfast

This is a very sweet historic bed and breakfast. The house is cozy and they were very accommodating. As you can imagine for an old home, everything is not fully updated, but it was very comfortable and clean. The walls are thin so you can hear movement of other guests a little. Breakfast was very nice, and they have lovely sittings areas inside and outside.

Wonderful stay

The White Doe Inn is an excellent place to stay. My wife and I are already planning our next visit back! The rooms are dated but comfortable and the meals and snacks are yummy. We especially appreciated the breakfast and the daily happy hour. The beds are comfortable but the wifi is pretty bad, which I understand is a problem all over the area so that was ok. We really felt good about being there under the new owners, who were really kind people. We had a minor issue with our room and mentioned to the owners and their response was even better than we thought. We were already planning on returning, but how the owners responded to our concerns guaranteed a return trip.

Beware of ANTS!!!

The B&B is very charming & staff is very welcoming and kind; however, when I woke up in the morning, there was an ant infestation, and they also got into our bed, and clothing. When I reported it to the management, there were no apologies - only “ thank you so much for letting us know. We've been battling the ants with all this rain. We'll get it taken care of.” When paying a decent price for a night, it would have been nice to minimally receive an apology.

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Staff was outstanding. One lady, who we both think was an owner, gave us 4 uprooted plants because I asked her what they were. Turns out they were Mexican Petunias and the flowers had bloomed during our stay. Just planted them in a pot at home. Looking forward to our next visit.

This is a gorgeous property, inside & out. They have wine & beer happy hour and coffee & water available all day. It was a charming house and our room was exceptional. The fireplace in the bathroom didn't work but we didn't care. We had a jetted tub and relaxed just fine.

We stayed in the Tower Suite. Considering the very high price, we thought this would be the best suite. There were multiple bugs in our room (both flying and crawling, including an approximately 3 inch palmetto bug), the carpet and chairs had dirty spots on them, the deep clawfoot tub would not hold water, and the second TV in the sitting room is not functional because it is not attached to a cable box. Additionally, we did not know the room is in what used to be the attic. Therefore, there are sloping ceilings corresponding to the angles of the roof. These sloped ceilings render much of the room unusable and dangerous and have resulted in numerous head collisions. Being in the attic required using two flights of stairs, the second of which was very difficult to maneuver. In summary, the room has very poor utility. The advertised square footage of the room doesn't take into consideration the head-busting sloping ceilings. Also, when sitting on the toilet, there are about 12 inches of space before your head comes into contact with the ceiling. Knowing what we know now, we would not book this room even if it were free. As you can tell, we are very unhappy with our stay.
