If you don't mind basic accomodation, this place has everything else. Amazing and generous host, great food, gorgeous ocean views, sooo many turtles, and just great vibes.

Nice location right on the beach, friendly staff and good meals. Unfortunately the toilet block was poorly maintained (clogged drain in the women's shower) and never cleaned during our stay.
The location was amazing just by the water. you hear the waves and the rain 😉 it’s basic but charming.
The place is run by the warmest most caring woman Lua who spoilt us with great breakfast and tasty lovely dinner. Thank you so much

The ladies were so friendly however a request often had to be repeated before it was actioned , lots of ants in communal kitchen and toilets due to lack of regular cleaning and rubbish removal , very noisy high tide due to rock face in front of fales . Excellent breakfast and dinners , food just kept on coming. Overall still very good value for money

Experience Samoan lifestyle
The location was great, just a few meters away from the sea. There isn't really a beach, it's the new sea front made of big rocks.
Loa is welcoming and so lovely! And the most amazing cook. It was great to have breakfast and dinner included. You'll probably share your table with other guests, which is good to meet people and have a chat.
Dont expect amazing snorkelling in Namase, it's mainly sand and you'll see a lot of turtles but that's it.
The amenities are very basic, wc and sink were leaking during our stay, the shower drain was blocked, no mirror whatsoever.
It was our first experience in a fale so it's tricky to review, the view was amazing but the mattresses are just soft foam, not good if you have a sensitive back! Expect some dirt on the floor and some rubbish under the fales. The mosquito nets were in good condition.
Overall it was very good to experience the Samoan lifestyle, but 2 nights were enough for my back.
Tailua beach Fales are in a beautiful location, right on the beach with turtles swimming out in front.
Going to sleep in a simple fale listening to the waves lapping at our front porch was wonderful.
The buildings are quite old, but sturdy. Our fale had woven ‘blinds’ for privacy, but we kept them open most of the time. The sea breeze was wonderful and we were kept cool. The beds are foam mattresses, off the ground, and a bottom and top sheet is provided. (Bring your own towels).
A light and power point is in each fale.
Lu cooked us delicious and plentiful breakfast and dinner each night.
We went to church with Titi this morning and it was a good message from the pastor (summarised into English for us at the end). The beautiful Samoan voices singing praises to our God was divine.
Thoroughly recommend staying at Tailua Fales, it is not a resort - do not expect it, staying here is more like glamping, but it is authentic Samoa with beautiful people and lots of love and kindness to share.
Titi was so friendly and welcoming. She made us the best food we ate in Samoa. Yes the accomodation and facilities were basic but hearing the waves lapping just a few meters from where we slept paradise. Beautiful area to swim and even had turtles pop up to say hi. Would go back for sure it really is paradise

Most gorgeous little spot by such a green tranquil beach. We enjoyed spotting turtles at high tide, enjoying sea breeze. The family running this little fale are just beautiful, kind and very mean cooks. They took such care of us, and made us feel welcome and we enjoyed learning about Samoan culture. The washroom, fale were all so gorgeous and we could absolutely come again.
Fale très agréable avec vue sur mer
Personnel extrêmement gentil et serviable,ne cherchant qu’à nous faire plaisir.
Cuisine très bonne et très copieuse
Tailua was a perfect spot for the start of our holiday in Samoa. Nothing was a problem, food was healthy and there was lots to eat. We would stay again and recommend these fales. The sea is literally at your doorstep. Great location and a great walking track into the hills is available if you ask. 6km and 11km. Great people, great venue and great hugs when we left.

Lua cooks fresh breakfast and dinner every day, served in generous portions to all guests at a table on the deck overlooking the ocean. No menu & no decisions necessary Great for hungry cyclists!
Spacious beachfront fales with traditional woven blinds and raised bed-frames.
Tailua, Yeti & Lua all cheerfully helpful and welcoming. I’m planning to return...
We loved staying staying here on our family holiday. We loved being so close to the beach and having raised beds. ( some places have mattresses on the floor) The food was great simple home cooked food. The service was great and friendly. The staff made us feel very welcome. I would recommend this place if you want to have an authentic simple experience.
I really loved my stay here. It was my favorite Fale experience during my time in Samoa. The meals were just delicious, think a solid, home cooked meal with no nonsense. The staff was wonderful, and my fale was perfect. It was easy to catch the bus to and from the wharf for the ferry, and the place is located near the lava fields that are worth a visit.
The staff was just so friendly, especially Yety (I don't know the spelling!) who waited all morning with me for the bus. He also gave me a raincoat that came in VERY handy during the ferry ride! So thank you!
Note that, like most fales in the country, these are RUSTIC and no frills. Expect cold showers and cool palm mats to block the rain. If you go here expecting a 5 star resort you will find lots to complain about. But I loved them!
The fale's are comfortable, with a light and charging port (more than we had at other fale's). They face the most beautiful beach on the island with a beautiful coral reef only a short swim out. The staff are friendly and provide breakfast and dinner. Very low key and relaxed environment. Would definitely recommend.
This is a fantastic place to stay. The atention was the best. They cook delicious food, and they offer the best service. They are so friendly people and make you feel very welcome. I really recommend this place to stay.
Very nice place right on the beach with beach fales. Good snorceling and sea turtle watching. But do not book in advance just drop in. There are booking portals who withdraw the money from your credit card but do not forward it to the host in time.
