"This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station. We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and parking was onsite and close to the unit. These units are old and have some "quirky" features at times. "Our stay at Hawley House was one of the most superb we can remember anywhere. Sophie was very welcoming and obliging - an all-round excellent hostess. Quality accommodation in well-cared-for but still very warm and homely environment. Fantastic views and easy access to both bush and beach make Hawley House very hard to beat. "Wonderful experience at Tranquilles. Friendly service from Bev from the moment I checked in and during my 2-day stay there. Comfortable bedding and clean room and facilities. Bev is an amazing hostess - she catered for the birthday function I attended at Tranquilles, serving delicious Thai food as well as the amazing birthday cake. "The moment we settled in, we felt like we were on holidays. Very clean, well presented accommodation with all the amenities we could want. The heating was on when we arrived which was appreciated because it was a cold, stormy kind of day. Electric blankets on each bed, if required. "Plenty of parking at the Beauty Point Hotel. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom has had a recent renovation and is also large and modern. Great water view from our room as well. Also the food at the hotel is outstanding we ate there twice and were blown away with the quality of our meals. The Barramundi was cooked to perfection "
