Very nice staff, and lovely hotel on a great location.
The staff were excellent and the rooms were very nice (we stayed in 2 different rooms). The building is older but very nicely furnished. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff nice and helpful. Lift unreliable, heating didn't seem to work in my fourth floor room: no manual/ info. Cleanliness of room OK but could be better (although bedding very clean) Entrance and lounge area attractive. Good location if rather noisy! ( Obvs)
Great unique property, friendly and accommodating staff. Got busy at times and ran out of breakfast food. Some delays at breakfast due to staffing and business
This was my second stay would recommend this hotel great people location

the staff were lovely but the hotel needs a lot of TLC. Very old and tired and needs to be completely redecorated. Good location for walking to Hyde Park, Oxford Street and Mayfair etc.
Just very disappointed that the rooms had not been. Redone in many decades. It looked quite worn out.

Good value for the money. Quiet and good bed, nice staff. Everything was working. Would stay again
We had an amazing stay in London. Mostly due to this hotel. They were very accomidateing to my special needs(on crutches) on thy fly at check-in. The staff is super friendly and welcoming-not sure where all the few negative feedsbacks came from. We will stay again and we also will recommend to friends and family.

Facility was charming in an old fashioned way and I might stay again. The area is perfect next to Hyde park. But it felt a bit run down. The heater in the whole building was broken in a way I had to report rather than it being reported and solved for me (which it was, once reported).
Overall a good choice that I would be happy to recommended. I appreciated a free upgrade from single room to classic double. Clean and comfortable room and bed, with responsive air-con/heating.
Staff generally polite and friendly, BUT I felt very uncomfortable being asked to hand over my phone when I asked for wifi details at Reception. This seemed very odd and inappropriate. (There were bank cards in the phone cover and I regard my phone as generally private) However when he saw I clearly didn't want to do this, the man on reception gave me the information needed. At the time I thought his strange demand must be something to do with the hotel not wanting to tell customers a code directly. But in hindsight, I wonder if an assumption was being made about an older women not being competent to do it herself?! Either way, please do review this practice!
The hotel has a good location near Oxford Street, but the furniture is very old and dirty.
The elevator broke down more than once during my stay at the hotel.
The bathroom is very broken and old

This is an alright hotel if you are on a budget. Very small rooms, not enough space to keep your luggage and walk. The first room had smell of smoke, so I asked it to be changed, and they did. The second room had a bit of odd smell too, mixture of sweat, and cleaning chemicals.
The rooms I had was on top floor with slanted ceilings, which ate into the size of the room.
Overall, traveling from the US where we are used to big sizes, the room felt quite clastrophobic. This is not just this hotel, but I guess London in general.
Front desk was not secured at night, we had a “delivery” person ringing our doorbell at 1am insistently. Was told free breakfast, but not accurate. While the rooms were large and spacious and bathrooms semi-updated, everything is very dated, windows not secure, very creaky floors.

It's an old property with squeaky floor and old carpets. Staff are professional and nice.
It was ok. The staff were friendly but it has a musty smell and looks like it hasn’t been renovated in ages. The room was cold and I had the heating on blast. There was a very annoying gold heavy chain as a curtain covering the toilet area which I thought was annoying and unhygienic. Great location but I wouldn’t stay again.
