Comfortable stay

The stay was very good, although I did not see anyone. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and it was warm. Would have liked a mirror in the bathroom for shaving though.

Quiet neighborhood, and relatively close to public transit. Checking in was easy. Had to share both bathrooms with other guests, sometimes it gets a bit tricky. Had some minor issues with mirror and toilet seat in one of the bathrooms. Mirror was added within 48 hours. Overall, great value for the money!

Satisfactory, early departure

Rooms in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. The overall cleanliness level was satisfactory, and the double room my partner and I rented slightly differed from what is shown in the pictures, but it was clean. I think the value for money is adequate, however, we had to leave the place a day earlier as we couldn't get a good night's sleep due to other noisy guests who did not respect the quiet hours for the guests. The walls are thin, and the shared kitchen and bathroom might be inconvenient if someone else is using them in the middle of the night.

Property was good for the price. Our Room was a bit too small for a queen bed and two single beds. Table and chairs were not neccessary in the room. Area was great.

The stay was good, the land lady not so much.

The place was better than I expected, clean and warm. There was a fair bit of outside noise. Facilities were good. The only downside was the day after we checked out I received messages and a hostile phone call from the land lady asking me where the large throw had gone suggesting I had taken it. Which I had not.

Location is ok but room was terrible.

Overall is was a disappointment due to two major factors- noisy beds and your hot water system. The children beds were very noisy as they made creaking noise with little movements. Being metal beds they caused so much trouble throughout that we decided to sleep on floor instead. However this didn’t end here and from about 11 pm , the hissing sound from hot water system was so loud that we could not sleep for the night. It did not stop at all and caused trouble as our bedroom was nearest to your hot water system. I had to do half marathon next day and lack of sleep didn’t help me at all. I will leave feedback on google and hotel.com for others too. Contacted owner and she did not agree with what I said but replied she will ask her helper to check this issues.

Not the Ritz, but o.k. for the price

The property offers a mixture of modern (kitchen) and slightly dated (bedroom and shared bathroom) facilities. Our bedroom was crammed, because it contained one double and two single beds. There was also a table with four chairs which was unusable, as there was simply insufficient space to sit around it. In this case, less is more! The double bed was comfortable enough, bedlinen and towels were clean. There was cosmetic damage to some surfaces and some items, such as the bedside lamp. As bathrooms and kitchen were shared between up to four parties, there were notices with instructions everywhere, more than I have ever seen in hotels or youth hostels. These were mostly followed by the other guests, yet we encountered one flooded bathroom floor and were kept awake by the very noisy central heating pump because person(s) had left the heating on in both bathroom radiators (which we switched off, of course). We did not use the kitchen at all, but this was kept reasonably clean. However, it would have been reassuring to see the owner or her representative inspecting the property regularly.

would not use again

Breakfast included as long as you do not have any requirements. weeks before we left we discussed with owner needing a gluten free breakfast as breakfast was included but they said do not cater so had to get our own breakfast in. A compromise like getting a box of cereal in would have been something. Shops nearby and only a short walk away. Good location but there is a bus stop right outside the property, so be prepared for busses running late into the night and the room is well lit at night by the street lights. Noisy at night due to toilet flushing. There are ares in need of repair, see pictures below. stairs are very steep, which I fell down so hobbled round London for 2 days. Arrived to linen everywhere which did not move for the duration of our stay. 6 chairs for breakfast with 4 rooms, so be prepared to take it in turns to sit and eat. Loose wires for the intermittent wi-fi in the hall way, again take care. Have been in better place for the same or less money. Window in bathroom rotten and mould on the ceiling. Bed and pillows not at all comfortable. Good location but nil else.

1. In der Beschreibung steht „mit Frühstück“ und dies war ein Entscheidungsgrund für diese Buchung, aber es gab gar kein Frühstück, ohne Vorwahnung. 2. das Foto vom Zummer entspricht nicht dem tatsächlichen Raum, den wir bekommen haben, das fanden wir auch nicht fair. 3. Lichtschalter im Bad (hängt aus der Decke, kurz vorm abfallen) fehlende Schubladenblende in der Küche, usw. , also teilweise etwas ungepflegte Einrichtung. Sonst alles gut.
