Clean room and bed sheets, soft towels. There's shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (it's a big plus for me, finally not the 3-in-1 gel I find in many hotels). There's a kettle, coffee, milk, and sugar in the room as well as a hair dryer. The condition of the walls (paint) is not great but apart from that the room was good. The bed is comfy and the neighborhood is very quiet. The pub is on the ground floor while the rooms are on the second meaning there's no noise in the evening. The staff is friendly and the pub's atmosphere is relaxed. Overall, it was a good stay.

La stanza era un po’ piccola ma la posizione dell’hotel è comoda per raggiungere facilmente il centro. Molto carino anche il pub dell’hotel.

We were really happy with the service and the room.
Well located and easy to check in, bed was a bit hard and the pillows were not the comfiest but can’t complain for the price. Couldn’t hear the bar downstairs but the road can be loud.

Very good all round. Room was clean, staff were fantastic. Room was small, but still enough space to be comfortable.
Nao tem elevadores. Dois andares de escada. Nao tem limpeza de quartos. Nao há nenhum tipo de ventilação no quarto (nao funciona nem o exaustor do banheiro). A iluminação do quarto é terrivel. O acesso é pela rua lateral vizinho a sacos de lixo.
Let me begin with the good news: the staff are truly kind people. And maybe the other rooms are perfectly fine. But then there was Room 11, which felt like it existed in its own ecosystem.
The moment I opened the door, I was greeted by a smell so strong it should have come with its own backstory. Mold? Mildew? A mysterious third thing? Hard to say. Whatever it was, it was powerful enough that when I got home, I had to wash everything I brought with me. Room 11 was determined to send its scent home as a souvenir.
I tried switching the heater/AC to “dry,” hoping it would exorcise the odor, but I was unsuccessful in my attempt. The windows didn’t open, probably for the sake of the outside world.
The rug? Oh, that thing has seen things. Someone really needs to pull it up and send it to a lab.
The bathroom also had its own sense of humor. One of the floor tiles wiggled like it was trying to escape. The shower shelf was broken, so I had to balance all my products like I was performing in a shampoo circus. And there was so much soap scum in the corners I’m convinced some of it had tenure.
The overhead light flickered nonstop, giving the room the vibe of a horror movie and a comedy sketch at the same time.
I wondered if I was being dramatic… but then I remembered that breathable air and floors that stay put really shouldn’t be luxury features.
Maybe the other rooms are fine—honestly, I hope they are—but Room 11? Sweet mercy. Pull. Up. That. Rug.
And yes, I do have pictures.
Room was nice, clean and cosy. Only there was no closet to put clothes in… since I was on my own it didn’t matter too much, but staying there with a second person might be tricky as the room was really small

It is spotless and comfortable, especially considering the price. The shower is surprisingly spacious, given the overall room size, which is a welcome surprise. There are plenty of places to eat, and it is well situated for public transport. Have recommended it to some of the organisations I work with in the area

My room was just for sleep and shower. It was small with one long and thin window in the corner. I didn't drink or eat in the pub... I literally only used this pub for sleep and location. The Central line is a 2-minute walk. The Cherry Bar served my needs well. I have stayed here before. The rooms could use a good clean and some updates. Staff was very nice during my late check-in.
Excellent all round with great bus links to the city plus a night device for late returns. Great cocktails and staff in the bar and the cherry cider was delicious. Would definitely stay again
A great lowkey hotel for some London first timers! Close to everything and a great place to relax after a big day of exploring. Lovely area with great food choices too.
I loved the room so much. Small, yes, but that is always expected with non-chain hotels; some quirks, but no deal-breakers. Huge, soft towels, though, and PLENTY of pillows, which alone puts this place head and shoulders above most in this price range. Right near the Tube and bus stops. A really good price. And even though it was over a bar, there were not any noise issues.
Unfortunately, I had some issues with the "staff"— the hotel is over a bar, and those we deal with are charged with running the bar, and the hotel is secondary. Almost all of them were really lovely, but they had one person assigned to the hotel who behaved more like a bouncer than a hospitality worker; not a word one would use on this fellow. He was belittling and a bit of a bully.
It's crazy how one mean person can affect your stay. I really thought this hotel was wonderful, but that one guy would have me look elsewhere if I was to go back to London anytime soon. He's clearly in the wrong job so maybe he won't be there for long.
Again, he was only one person. Everyone else on the staff I encountered really did their best to present a friendly face. Maybe it's having to do double-duty—the bar and the hotel— that means you sometimes get someone better at one thing than the other.
