2nd stay was as good as the 1st
The house is very clean and well stocked. It was quite comfortable for a family vacation. Greenville and the Moosehead Lake area was a great place to spend the week. We went on a sea plane ride and a successful moose watch tour. Saw the fireworks and enjoyed some shopping and lunch in town. I would recommend staying here.

Excellent place to enjoy the lake and town
It is on the lake in a protected area, close enough to Greenville or the Junction and quiet. The camp is well furnished with an outstanding second floor family room with a view.

Great Stay!
Perfect location right on Moosehead Lake. The decks on the house were so nice for dining and just looking at the lake. Close to town as well. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely stay at this house again for future vacations!

Great House
It was a wonderful, clean home. I would have also loved a floating dock, and canoes and kayaks to use.

Good Morning, Lake-- Good Night, Stars
The many moods and fresh breezes of Moosehead Lake started our day in this super-comfortable and charming cottage with lots of varied activities possible in the area. At night, in deep woodland silence we said good night to the loons and to more stars than city dwellers even imagine are out there. A perfect stay!

Perfect for some R&R
We were seeking rest and relaxation and Birchknoll was perfect. Being right on the lake provided beautiful views enjoyed from the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The house was immaculate and has a well stocked kitchen. The house is decorated so that it felt homey but not like we had invaded someone else’s space. The beds were very comfortable. The dock was great and helped us to enjoy the lake. We were totally satisfied with the whole experience.
The property has had some updates, but there are some things that could be better. The mattress in the downstairs lakeside bedroom is horrible, the upstairs deck and sliders are in need of replacement. The house smelled musty, we kept the windows open the entire stay. Ken hS allergies that's one reason we chose this no pets vrbo. The dock was great as was the view.

Moosehead Lake
Very comfortable house, with excellent access to the lake. The loft space is well furnished and has a tv, but no dvd or cd player. This would be a great space for the kids to enjoy a movie, but not set up for that. Also, the listing is not clear that the wood stove in the corner is not usable as a fireplace. Lastly, we needed to replace 5 lightbulbs when we arrived; they had simply burned out, which was a little odd.

Gorgeous view and comfortable home, but not private
Our family of five have stayed at Moosehead before, but this was our first time at this home. It has many great features, the view, dock and outdoor space being the top of the list! We live in Maine and vacation in our state often, so we were expecting/hoping for a more private location. If you're looking for a convenient location close to Greenville and don't mind trains all day long (including midnight), float planes and traffic noise all the time it's a great place to stay. I think this should have been disclosed.
We lost power overnight from a storm, so the owners should probably put some flashlights or candles in the house to use as well.
