Outrigger pools were amazing, location is central to exploring both the north and south beaches. Main lobby is under construction so we had to walk through a temporary entrance to get to our rooms. Great spot for kids to play. Awesome golf course right next door. Can't go in the water at the beach there, but plenty of other places to do that. Perfectly located to access all parts of the island.

Great room for 2. I would recommend having a car to do activities and for food. The restaurants serve the same foods and are quite overpriced for what is given (both taste/quantity). Service at the restaurants were awful but the beautiful pools made up for it.

The unit was great

This is one of the better units at the resort. I’ve stayed at this location many times, and this unit was great. The full fridge was ideal. The only downside was that they were doing construction on the floor I was staying on, and I was woken up every morning at 8am, but that was in no way the fault of the owner of this unit. Would definitely book here again.

All was very pleasant. It would have been helpful to have a microwave in the room. Other than that it was a suitable room for my purposes. The resort was lovely. The valet service was exceptional. It is somewhat of a challenge to leave the resort and enter the highway. But that is manageable.

The property was absolutely magical! The room is as described. I would suggest bringing extra towels if you are staying a week. I did a load of bath towels and it cost $17 with having to dry the towels twice. Machines say $4 but charge you $5. No biggie!! Overall we loved the stay and would love to return one day.

Nice Property with Convenient Location

Property was as described. Very convenient location to everything on the island. The centralized location makes it easy to access both the north and south sides on if the island. Resort staff were very welcoming. There is a lot of noisy construction in the surrounding rooms during the day—This did not bother us but should be noted if you are expecting peace and quiet. I do still have outstanding questions about cleaning fees but I expect those to be resolved by the host.

Great spot for exploring the island

The location was great - just north of Lihue which served as an easy jumping off point to explore all sides of the island. As first time visitors to Kauai, this was perfect. The unit is on a resort, and we loved the access to the very cool pools and the restaurants. The room was simple, but clean and nice. With no daily maid service and based on other reviews, we took our own set of beach towels and alternated them with the set supplied in the unit which allowed us to always have a dry towel. They don't dry fast in the humid air! The property manager provided lots of tips for exploring the area, and check in was easy. We'd stay again. Thank you Robert!

Vacation Rental

This property is located at a great location, the resort is wonderful and has everything anyone could want. The room itself is very dated, the beds are not the best, the inability to even have a microwave is quite a pain, but there is one located on the opposite side of the resort if you want to go that far to heat up some food, the minimal amount of serving and eating utensils provided by the owner is sad at best and you will need to buy disposable plates, bowls and plastic ware if you plan to eat anything in your room, and if you have more than two people that want to utilize the small table provided you need to bring in chairs from the patio and move a heavy locked utility container that us stored under the only table in the room to do so and there isn't much space to move it to. Other than those few things that people should know about the room was nice enough and we enjoyed our stay at the property.

Amazing, Perfectly Located Resort!

This was the most beautiful and unexpected stay as my vacation was originally planned for Maui. Due to the tragic wild fires in Maui, I had to make very last minute arrangements to another island. This resort did not disappoint. The resort is gorgeous, clean and everyone is so friendly. The pool is stunning and perfect for a day to lay out and soak up the Kauai sunshine. Robert was very quick to respond to all of my questions and changes which helped calm the anxiety of a last minute trip. The room was clean and comfortable. There was FULL sized refrigerator which was perfect to store all of our snacks, drinks and food for our long stay. The town is the most centralized part of the island with easy access to plenty of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. It’s a quick drive up to the north shore and also the west side of the island. I would absolutely stay here again. Mahalo Robert!! 🙏

Perfect Location and Gorgeous Resort

All in all our stay was fabulous. The Owner was always easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. The resort does make you feel like an outsider though when you book through a private owner and not through them. There is definitely a "vibe" around how they treat you when you book private. Example- the parking system didn't code to our bracelets or our card and they told us it was because we were in a VRBO- they wouldn't offer to retry to code our bracelets and instead we had to call them every time we needed to leave or come to the parking. So that became a bit annoying but again not the owner fault- just something to be aware of in how the resort will treat guests in the private rooms. Beds were comfy, room was very clean and had a great view from the lanai. We were very pleased with our stay and the owner.

Great room beach resort

Overall we had a great experience. There's some things that are weird about this listing and probably similar ones that I overlooked. First this is just a single room like a hotel. It has two twin beds which is tight but doable. There is no microwave or stove and it seems like there is a legal reason but I don't know what that is. Also this is a privately owned room so if you need cleaning services or new towels you don't talk to the resort but rather the unit owner. He was very responsive and helpful, this is just a weird situation to me. Also, I either missed it or it's not mentioned that there is a $35/day parking fee which is massive. They have plenty of parking for all the units so this is just a money grab, they are not trying to limit parking. They also have valet parking so our daily parking bill was roughly $55/day ($5 tip to the valet each arrival and departure) I'm not complaining, just adding our experience so you know what to expect. The resort is great, very friendly people and the grounds are well maintained. Some stuff is a little dated or worn out, but that's been our experience everywhere in Hawaii. Overall it was a great time and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Not what we expected

Stayed here for 5 nights with spouse and our two 20-year-old children. Perhaps we misinterpreted the property in the listing, but we were expecting a condo style accommodation. This was just a plain old hotel room. In a regular hotel building with other hotel rooms that other guests presumably booked directly through the hotel. While other guests received housekeeping services like any regular hotel, we did not. The staff member who checked us in informed us of that in a rude ha-ha that’s what you get for booking through VRBO sort of way, and when we entered the room we saw that we were provided only four shower towels for four adults for a 5 night stay! Without housekeeping services, that is inadequate. Shower in the morning, hiking/sightseeing/pool/beach during the day, shower again and out for dinner at night. They may point out that there are laundry machines available in the hotel. True, but at guest expense and limited availability. Had to take our garbage and recycling out ourselves (to the back of the property which was not an area I even wanted to have to see as a guest). Listing implied avoiding having to pay a resort fee would be an advantage. I would gladly have paid it for housekeeping services. Probably would have been cheaper than the host’s cleaning fee. And the room didn’t even have a microwave. When I VRBO, I expect more than a regular hotel room with no microwave and no housekeeping services! Btw, the hotel charges $35/day for self-parking; no other option
