Perfect Getaway

LOVED Our Stay...Room had everything we needed. Fridge, Micro, HOT Plate, Cooking Utensils...Close to Town. Very Quiet...WOULD Definitely stay AGAIN...

A great place to stay

It was great, loved the room and the town, visited the hot pools. My only suggestion is hook down the porch mat as it would slip as you stepped out from the hotel room. We loved having a kitchen to use and the coffee maker was awesome. Beds super comfy. We had a great stay!

Our stay at Winzig was great! Super clean, super cute and comfortable. My only complaint was wishing there was a little stool in the shower to shave my legs, also the showerhead made the water come out all crazy. Minor complaints but my family and I would gladly stay again.

Comfortable and Close

The bed was really comfortable and the sleep pads were comfortable too. There are lots of steps for heavy luggage. To improve water filtration or water bottles and pool towels would be nice.

Place is nice and very homey. I wish yhey would have black out curtains and no work/ power wash done prior 8 am but not everything is under the owner control. . Steven came to introdu,e himself and was very nice. Location is off the main path but very walkable and lose to the pool ans water park

The unit was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was that it was advertised as having a fully equipped kitchenette, however it only had a microwave and a very old one burner plug in hot plate. We were very surprised to learn that it didn’t have a toaster. We were planning on cooking our breakfast in the unit but had to make alternative plans.

Small but a great place!

This was a good place for my family with small kids. I would say if my kids were any older it would not have sufficed. This is because the beds listed as trundles are just fold up mats. But for my 5 and 3 year old they were fine. The service we received when the water heater wasn’t working I made a call and it was fixed very quickly!

Our stay at Winzig was very comfortable and quiet. Property was easy to get into and I was able to call the host with questions without any issues. The building was recently built, the appliances, shower etc were quite new; the internet was fine and everything was clean. The room was super quiet and peaceful, although to be honest it's possible that we were the only ones in the building for that night. The shades were not blackout but the host had thoughtfully supplied some disposable sleeping masks. The main downtown area is about a 7-10 minute walk down one street. Easy to get to. My family (me, wife, 9 and 11 year old boys) found the Winzig Lodge comfortable and secure. Would stay again if traveling to the Lava Hot Springs area again.

It is essentially a motel room on the 3rd floor. Very bright room with a nice view down the valley. All very clean and simple, nice decor but basic. The check in was terrible- just what you fear from air BNB style accommodation- no one at property, no message with room # and codes, no response to multiple emails. Visiting from Australia, we don’t have cell service, just internet so could email fom Expedia ap but not call. We ended up having to reconnect our Australian phone (only 1 of our networks has coverage in Lava), pay the daily fee and call manager. He answered on 2nd call and apologized profusely for having forgotten to send our welcome message and codes that morning. We won’t be booking this type of an accommodation again on Expedia, managers on the other aps we use tend to be super responsive to messages which avoids the waiting around and worrying you were going to have to find a hotel and lose the $250 you’d paid.

We ate at some good places. The room we had was wonderful. Even at our age 75 the upstairs was well worth it. Accommodations were top shelf. Bed was better than advertised. Very comfortable room Perfect size for us.
