Very close to Lake George Town. Had tons of parking and was safe. However, it was very dirty. I saw multiple bugs in the room, and there was so many live and dead bugs in the window. The room smelt, and it wasn’t very quiet. It was okay for the price, we spent most of our time outside of the room, just because of how dirty it was.
As a solo female traveler I felt unsafe at this location and left, moved to a different hotel. I felt the presentation of the property on this site was not accurate.
The door to the room did not shut correctly, it had no deadbolt (just the lock on the door handle and a flimsy chain), no thermostat to control the heat, the bathroom window would not stay fully open (to try and cool the room down), no soap or toiletries in the bathroom, and an overall vibe that concerned me so much I left and paid for different accommodations. I really could not afford to do that but I felt so unsafe, I had to move to a different location. Really disappointed in the reviews of this place as I put trust in those and I feel the overall rating for this location was not accurate.
The room was clean, so I guess there's that...

Pretty average- like a retro motel. Has a nice view of the lake and easy to get to. Parking is on a hill and there is some road noise, but quiets down eventually. No breakfast, but a couple of places to eat very close by. Away from downtown, and not a distance you would walk to normally. But overall, a good value for the money.
The room was very clean, and the property was very clean, and parking was easy. There was no lock on the inside of the door. There was no ice, which was kind of a bummer for what we’re looking for. I know it sounds like a small thing, but I brought several things For a special diet and I couldn’t get ice and I had to go get some. The water was just warm it wasn’t really hot so if you like hot water, this is in a place to stay.
It was a good place for 1 night. You could easily walk downtown from here. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was also clean.
It was a v clean room. The bathroom was spotless. It was not at all fancy but my friend and I don't go for fancy, just clean with a hospitable staff. There was a porch out front of the room. We enjoyed sitting there the two nights we stayed.
The room was perfect for what we needed- a place to sleep! Had a fridge, microwave, and decent sized bathroom. Bed was comfortable. The kind gentleman who checked us in even upgraded our room at arrival to a lake view.
My first night at hotel at 12:30am went to open door to get out door knob would not turn to go out I called management many times I am locked in my room door would not open
Final manager comes puts key in door to open , I told him the mechanism in the door is loose and defective I got no response it works know
I will no go to this hotel every again
My wife and 2 daughters (ages 1 and 3) stayed here for 5 nights this summer, and we had an excellent time! The Pinebrook is located less than a quarter mile off the beaten path (aka Canada Street containing the majority of hotels, restaurants, attractions around Lake George). The motel was very clean, quiet, and cozy. The communal deck provides a view of the lake, and there's access to the beautiful brook that flows behind the back of the motel. The owner was extremely kind and helpful with getting our amenities whenever needed. My kids had a great time in the pool, and we easily walked to all the hot spots in town. Absolutely loved this cozy motel and look forward to coming back for a cozy quiet time next year!
