Very nice and breakfast very good (excellent blueberry muffins!) Nice room and comfy bed. Would book there again. People very accommodating and answered all questions-offering solutions. Great location in town close to restaurants and some stores.
My second stay at the Keene Valley lodge for Ironman Lake Placid, fantastic B&B for the race, 20/25min drive from Lake placid. Great cozy room, fantastic breakfast, a fridge at our disposal, will stay again for sure for my next stay in Keene valley or Lake Placid
We stayed here for 2 nights in the beautiful silver Maple suite in the back with windows that looked out on the beautiful greenery in the backyard – – we even saw deer grazing! Carrie is the adorable Manager who makes blueberry muffins to die for for breakfast. This house has so much character and history! It’s location is wonderful, only 20 minutes from Lake Placid!

What a truly great experience. Having been in Keene Valley in the same house 50 years ago, it was a pleasure to see it being cared for and run and such a beautiful way. Kelly, the manager, couldn’t have been More delightful. Preparing breakfast and always there for questions or advice on where to go out to dinner or tge next mountain to climb.. It was a perfect weekend and I’m looking forward to going back thank you Keene valley lodge.
We have been to the lodge multiple times. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is awesome. Great location near hiking and climbing.
Waking smell of coffee brewing and muffins baking, wonderful breakfast offerings
Inn keepers welcoming and helpful
Carrie was keeper our two mornings there and was amazing. Warm and welcoming to everyone there.
It was their first week open since Covid. Overall this place is what you would expect from a country inn.
Good breakfast. Nice spot on the river.
Bed was a little soft for us, and traffic from the road was noisy at nite, bit otherwise the stay was nice.
Our rooms consisted of a small room almost completely filled by a queen bed with barely space to open a suitcase, plus an even smaller room with furniture that would have been thrown out of a second-hand store. "Our" bathroom was across the public hall; none of the three doors fit properly, so, for example, closing the bathroom door at any hour made a loud noise. Walls looked like they hadn't been painted since the Revolution. Breakfast was a shortened version of what one would find in any large chain, and the breakfast room was furnished with more crummy furniture. Management was absent. For the icing on this very stale cake, we had to pay a mere $240/night. Expedia, pay attention!
