We stayed here for three nights, the place is spacious and clean. The staff are excellent. I am shocked at the level of quality for the price, I will definitely return.
Thank you!
Great sevice. I arrived at 10 pm and informed bell boy Shahin I require business documents and advertisement printed for conference next day urgently, Shahin called over print shop owner to visit me within an hour to get all my stuff ready for my conference next day. Unbelievable service. Thank you Shahin and Sunday Emerald staff
Hello,
I am writing to report a very serious issue we experienced during our stay.
When we checked in, we were initially given a room that was already occupied by another guest who was actively staying at the hotel. After reporting this, we were moved to a different room. Unfortunately, that room had a very strong, unpleasant odor and visible mold throughout the space.
We were then moved again, but the second room also had a strong urine smell. Upon checking further, we noticed mold and what appeared to be urine leaking into both bathrooms. The conditions were extremely unsanitary and unacceptable. Because of this, we were unable to stay at the hotel at all.
This experience was very upsetting, and we are requesting that this matter be addressed appropriately.
I am following up regarding my previous complaint and refund request. Due to the unacceptable conditions of the rooms (including mold, strong urine odor, and being initially assigned an occupied room), we were unable to stay at the hotel at all.
At this time, I have not yet received my refund and am still waiting for confirmation. Please let me know when the refund will be processed and when I can expect to receive it.
I would appreciate a prompt response, as this matter has been pending.
Thank you
Zh
Some staff are not matured how to collect and return laundry, they don't open gym on the operation time. The draining of bathtub is terrible. House keepers don't know when I checkout the room. And breakfast is very poor. I wouldn't come back.
Disappointing Stay at Sunday Emerald Hotel – Needs Serious Improvement
Unfortunately, our stay at Sunday Emerald Hotel was far from pleasant. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The carpets and floors were stained, and there were marks and mould throughout — especially on the bathroom ceilings, which was deeply concerning. The room smelled stale, with an unpleasant odour of urine, and the dim lighting only added to the dated and gloomy atmosphere.
We were given just two towels for four people, and despite requesting additional towels three separate times, none were ever provided. We had no choice but to share towels, which was unacceptable for a hotel of any standard.
Check-in was difficult, as the receptionist did not speak English, making communication a challenge. After returning from a visit to Jeddah Waterfront Harbour, we were reprimanded by another receptionist for not signing declaration forms at check-in — something we were never properly informed about. When I explained that I hadn’t understood the requirement and was happy to sign, she insisted I should have known, claiming her colleague had told me (in Arabic, which I do not understand). The tone and approach were unnecessarily confrontational.
When I tried to read the terms of the declaration, which included potential fines and liabilities, the receptionist appeared irritated, seemingly wanting me to sign without question. This made the process feel mo
