Omma hotel is a really beautiful and aesthetically pleasing place to stay in Istanbul. Unfortunately, that was the best thing about staying here as there are several issues. Firstly, the pictures don't do a good job of showing how cramped and small the rooms actually are. We stayed in a double and a twin room, both of which were very small. Secondly, there is no soundproofing and because it is located in a busy area, you can hear everything from within and outside of the hotel. Thirdly and worryingly, the breakfast was not fresh. They leave the breads out on the tables with no cover which means they were incredibly hard. They used the same fries two days in a row and some of the bread had mould on it. There was also an embarrassingly low variety of foods which meant we rarely actually ate a good breakfast here despite paying for it which was unfortunate Fourthly, I didn’t particularly enjoy the customer service and organisation here. At one point, we were called by reception at 12am! While trying to sleep!!

We stayed at Omma hotel for 4 nights, which was split up by ebookers so am clarifying. It is a really beautiful and aesthetically pleasing place to stay in Istanbul. Room is a good size and clean. Location is bad, since main road to hotel closes at 10am and reopens at 9pm, no taxi can take you to the hotel, we had to push our luggage few hundred yards. Very hard to sleep due to noise from inside and outside of the hotel, but the biggest problem was staff try to scam you in every possible way, if you didn’t pay for your stay online get prepared to be scammed, Aziz want me to pay by euro or TL, he said he doesn’t accept American dollars, he can’t charge your card with euro and he can only charge 1000TL in one transaction, after a couple attempts on my credit card, I said stop, as my credit card company will shut down my card, if they see multiple same amount charge, so I decided to pay cash, Solaiman tried to convince me that the amount I paid is short by 400 TL, but it wasn’t, he was just counting the money in a way to make it look short. I asked for a receipt, he handed me a hand written piece of paper saying I paid for my stay. Last but not least, Aziz was trying to get ride of us the night before our leave by saying they have renovation going at the hotel and we won’t have any power or water and he will pay for one night stay at a hotel owned by his friend, this story was a big lie to make us leave to have room for someone else.

My mother and I had a very pleasant stay at the Omma Hotel. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. They also speak great English. The room was perfect, spacious and modern interior. The breakfast was fine as well. Public transport is very nearby and comes every few minutes. We definitely recommend staying at the Omma Hotel. Only downside is the area. But if you don’t stay out too late, you should be fine. : )

Positiv: 1. Personal: Sehr höfliches und hilfsbereites Personal insbesondere Fräulein Alma an der Rezeption; netteste Frau in Istanbul. 2. Lage: Zentrale Lage zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten, nur ein Katzensprung entfernt 3. Sauberkeit: Zimmer und Bad unglaublich sauber. Das sauberste Hotel ever! 4. Zimmer: Dreibettzimmer ca. 16 qm groß mit leider wenig Stauraum für 3 Personen sowie Schreibtisch, Schrank, Stuhl, Klimaanlage, TV, Safe und Kühlschrank mit täglich kostenlosem Wasser und Wasserkocher mit Tee und Cafe. 5. Atmosphäre: ein sehr kleines und ruhiges Hotel. Hier laufen sich die Gäste nicht über die Füße. Fahrstuhl im Haus. 6. Frühstück: Abwechslungsreiches und frisches Frühstück mit netter Bedienung. Negativ: 1. Aktivitäten: Es gibt keine Freizeitmöglichkeiten im Haus wie z.B. Spielraum oder Fitnessraum und sonstiges 2. Teetime: Mal wird kostenlos Tee serviert und mal soll man für den Tee bezahlen je nach Lust und Laune des Personals. Also erst fragen und dann servieren lassen. 3 Bettwäsche: Bettlaken, Kissenbezug und Deckenbezug waren an einigen wenigen Stellen verschmutzt. Es sieht nicht sehr einladend aus. Fazit: Immer wieder gerne! Das Hotel lässt keine Wünsche offen! Bilder entsprechen der Realität!

In al mijn reizende jaren zijn de medewerkers van het Omma hotel de liefste die ik heb mogen ontmoeten! De medewerkers hielpen ons met alles het regelen van taxi’s, wijzen op goeie plekken en het uitleggen van bijv het vervoer in Istanbul. Wij waren met alleen dames en als wij bijv. Iets bestelde naar de kamer kwam ook altijd een vrouw dit brengen. Zo zie je maar dat ze aan alles denken. Het hotel is schoon, en goed gelegen. Daarnaast erg chiq en mooi.

Nette Unterkunft, allerdings etwas klein und örtlich in einer kleinen Gasse verlegen. Taxifahrer tun sich schwer die Unterkunft zu finden. Sauberkeit war naja, nichtsdestotrotz wurde einem weitergeholfen wenn man unzufrieden mit dem Resultat war. Einig werden konnten wir uns trotzdem. Standard Frühstück, in Ordnung.
