The hotel could do with a litle modernisation and facilities could be improved upon but it was still very decent. Staff were courteous and friendly and it is a clean place. Good value for money. It is quiet and close to lots of resturants, 10 min walk to main attarctions such as Topkapi palace , Hagia Sophia and blue mosque. A minutes walk to Ghulane park. Enjoyed my stay there and would stay again. Building work being done opposite however only during the day. Breakfast was included and although basic it was still decent and good enough.

One night in Istanbul

A flying visit of 20hrs in the city so I chose this hotel for location near some of the tourist attractions. Arrived late but check in was quick. Was up early and skipped breakfast to go for a run. Came back to find the lock on my room had stopped working. Changed key twice but eventually maintenance had to come. Otherwise a decent stay, if a little lacking in space in the room.

Pleasant and comfortable stay

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights. The view to the construction site was not the best but it didn’t matter much to us as we’ve been out and about mostly. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room itself was equipped with all necessary facilities for our stay, noise isolation windows and got cleaned daily. The only downside was the mini bar that did not work properly and we were told by hotel staff that this is how it was suppose to be and offered to store my medications in a fridge at reception. We had daily breakfast buffet included with our stay and we were pleased with food variety and quality. There was a wifi access which had its ups and downs but overall met our needs for checking out maps and general usage, you won’t be able to stream movies though. There was also access to gym and spa , and roof top restaurant above the hotel offered 10% discount for hotel guests. Great hotel location central to all popular attractions and short walk to T1 tram stop. It was advertised as 4 star hotel but I would give it a solid 3, definitely different star ratings to what we used to in Australia. Overall our experience was very good and we would like to thank hotel staff for their hospitality. Worth to mention reception staff speak good English and Russian, not sure about other languages.

Old furniture. Bed sheets were used and dirty when we admitted to the room. We asked for new, they said sorry we are running out of bed sheets and billow cases. Rooms are very narrow. Despite we paid for extra person, no extra bed offered.

Pro's - location is great. They allowed check in early. Has a restaurant on site, which is overpriced and not great. Con's - TV didn't work. Air conditioning very weak. Bugs that bite! Breakfast, has limited variety. Not enough space around the bed. Requested room wasnt available, even though the room was booked over a month ago. Liased with a manager and had no response. Very disappointing! When booking it says spa credit, which is very misleading as it doesnt involve a reduction in spa services or even a spa! Welcome drink was a bottle of water, wrong information posted by Hotels.com. Looking around the area, there are much better hotels, definitely do your research before booking.
