Don't really know where to start with this one, £16 a room per night, clean cheap and central so we can't complain.
However, it's not the hotel from the pictures, so this is advice for any future visitors as we'd never have found it without our taxi driver who also struggled. There is no reception, you have to go and pick up the keys from the Buhara mini-mart at the end of the road, they'll then take you past the pictured hotel (looks closed down) to an unsigned door and up to the rooms. In ours there was a double and 2 single beds, washing machine, kettle, microwave, etc. They were clean and comfy. The advertised communal coffee area wasn't there, however there are plenty of cafe's local.
It's only a 5 minute walk to Sultanahmet Square with the Blue Mosque etc, however it's all up a very steep hill so if you have mobility issues, take that into account.
The worst hotel ever.
It was extremely disgusting and dangerous (wire which was loose). We didn’t stay there and booked another hotel. I need a refund on this.
There is no Buhara Hotel. Property is abandoned and has been for a while. I was put in Buhara Apartments.
There is NO reception , never mind 24 hours .Google maps led me to empty building. There was no breakfast that I had paid for, and if there was Wi-Fi there was no one to give me password. This is disgraceful that Buhara Hotel is still being advertised on Expedia.
I will be seeking recompense for my fraudulent stay.
I usually do not give negative reviews, but I have made this an exception. There is no hotel called Buhara. The address given in the booking will take you near a shop called Buhara. Once you talk to the shop owner he will call someone who will take you to a decrepit building with no escalator.
Once you carry your luggage to second or thid level through the stairs, you will be greeted by a room which is no way related to the published photos.
It's a scam!
This property is advertised as a hotel but infact it is an apartment so the name is misleading, there is no room service, you have to clean the room yourself, towels never got changed and once the toilet roll runs out you have to buy your own, its a family ran block of apartments the family is helpful, speak little english so sometimes was difficult to communicate. There are no baby cots. The location is ok, it about 10-15 min walking distance going uphill to get to the blue mosque. Overall i wouldnt stay there again, i would rather pay more and stay at a proper hotel with room service.

Disliked: Amenities
It was a cute room, comfortable bed but they didn't include breakfast like it said it does. They were also supposed to provide bottled water (as stated in their description) and they didn't. I understand that you get what you pay for, but I expect to receive what was promised when I booked the room. The people were nice, which was good but they didn't even provide towels. Very disappointed but it's a good thing we didn't spend much time at the hotel. I would not go back here. The plus side is that they do offer to pick you up at the airport for a decent fee.

Booked with Buhara Hotel because of the location and the airport transport included. Prior to arrival I notified the Hotel of arrival time and date, the hotel replied with minimal vague directions about how to find the airport shuttle and presenting in a much clearer fashion a Eur40 van service which I didn't go for. Knowing nothing about the airport I trusted the directions mentioned "the meeting point Office". There were no such a place at the airport and I ordered an Uber instead. When I arrived I was told that my room was not available and that I'd be temporarily offered an "apartment" instead until the said occupiers check-out next day, which was very strange since I did notify the hotel of my arrival details, it was late, snowing, and I was exhausted so I didn't argue. I was escorted to what seemed like an illegally built tiny roof room few buildings away, checking with the man next day he told me I can remain in that room for the rest of my stay. Apart from the scheming and the 4 floor stair climb, the room was perfectly fine! The view was nice, it was just as big as I expected, and heating was on most of the day. Although there were no room service for the entire 10 days stay. Also when I wanted to check-out I was presented again with the Eur40 airport transport which I found elsewhere for Eur30 (Uber cannot pick-up from the old part of town), and I found out that airport shuttle service has been suspended for a while. They could do well without over-promising!!
The owner was really friendly

Helpful
We had early checkin. Super friendly and helpful guy. To locate the hotel is a whole mess. Not easy because there are about two or more hotels with very similar names. I recommed this hotel when u have a lot of activities to do in istanbul and you will just use it for sleep purspose. But for the sake of vacation or comfort. Just find a hotel with price worth the services you need
Very central location to the sultanahmet only walking distance to all touristic attractions. Have some nice restaurants around it also too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room size is okay good enough and bathroom was clean lovely hot water for shower. Recommended for sure.
We booked this hotel with breakfast but when we reached there they said we will serve breakfast, secondly there was no electricity slots for mobile charging, even no side tables with bed.
We also requested to change the room but no responce from hotels side.
I contact the Expedia help team and they help me a lot to get the facilitation which were promised at the time of booking but hotel was not cooperative.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would ask Expedia to take strict action against the hotel.
Thanks

Great location but you can much better place
so close to everywhere but we never even located in right place just in rooms above restaurant... not so bad them but bad smell and everyday flush broke... we suppose to have free drink (coffee or tea) but there was no lounge or kettle in room.
Fuyez!!!!! Payez plus cher mais fuyez!!! L'endroit n est pas très sécurisant.
