Older building not in its prime.
Staff was helpful.
Located in a quaint square and close to castles within easy driving distance.
Suited our needs.

Unfortunately my checkin was not very smooth, nobody manned in reception and room wasn’t cleaned when I arrived. Room was functional. Included Breakfast was good and was conveniently located in the square in the quaint town of Huntly.
Needs upgrading. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room adequate with new shower and kettle.
Cost of stay expensive, does not reflect general mediocrity of facilities.
In short, this hotel has seen much better days. My room was pretty good, shower room recently refurbished and good, beds decent. However, the (unmanned) reception is like something from a ghost ship, and the corridors creaky and didn't smell great. Its a fine building, and it could be an amazing hotel, but needs a lot of investment to restore it to former glories.
Very over rated. The cost did not reflect condition, size, staffing or quality. Room was small and dated, sheets had holes in them and no staff available in hotel. No food available in hotel.

Lovely room and friendly and attentive staff I would definitely stay here again. Shout out to Helen and Kerry
Huntly offers very few hotels, sadly, this is one of them. It’s miserable, cold, has damp in the wardrobe and is overall an expensive dump charging £130 a night.

Not really value for money…
Not a lot of option in the area but I won’t be returning though, even if it means me sleeping in the street.
£130+ a night and it’s a dump and I’m glad work paid and not me. Very basic dated rooms, didn’t bother with the breakfast so can’t comment on the food.
We were immediately informed that the room we had booked was not available due to 'maintenance'. we were then offered bunk-room accommodation which we delined. Eventually we got a double room on the top floor. The cafe was in a bar and did not seem suitable for breakfast.
State of exterior and interior need a good refurbishment throughout.the room we were allocated was more like contract workers accommodation, there was no restaurant for a meal and hotel parking facilities, the parking was on the main square.
For the price we paid it was a very big let down.
On arrival the reception was closed, the bell did not work and the telphone number noted to the entrance door went to answerphone. I tried using the number listed on Hotel.com but this was incorrect.
After almost 30 minutes I questioned a resident leaving who informed me that I could check in at the pub next door, and that this was written on a notice outside. The notice was located within a large glass case and was approximately A5 and handwritten, it was also paritaly obscured by a Circus advertisement, the glass case was not adjacent to the entrance.
After finally getting my key I went to my room (double), the room was tiny and the double bed took up most of the room. I requested another room, this was changed to a larger room.
Within the room was a TV, which, when turned on made a loud noise and never came on again, I mentioned this to reception and it was changed with one that would turn on with the remote control but would not change channels or alter sound levels. The toilet door was a sliding door but was not controlled by a rail at the bottom, this meant the door never fully closed and was always at an angle from the hangers.
The breafast was of a reasonable standard but was served in the bar which reeked of stale beer.
I don't know if Hotels.com ever visit their properties but would like to think that such low standards are noted and acted upon. Having used Hotels.com for many years this was by far the worst hotel I've stayed at using your website.

Frokost i puben ved siden av, ei seng der du ventet fjærene skulle komme gjennom lakenet og brannalarm to av to netter gjorde ikke oppholdet positivt minneverdig.
