Upon arrival we were told there was no reservation under our names and all rooms were entirely full even though were charged

I got there and was told they didn’t receive my booking from Expedia and also the hotel is fully booked. I haven’t received any refund yet but this is not right coming all the way just to be stranded and loosing extra money
