Dissatisfied
Originally booked to stay in this hotel for six nights, only stayed for one night.
The room was small and cramped with just a wicker stool to sit on other than the bed. It was cold even with the heating on, the on-suite was quite well appointed other than the large glass frontage, which afforded no privacy when being used. It is in quite a rundown location near a market and to be honest my partner did not feel safe, and I was very cautious when I went out in the evening.
All the reception staff we met were very helpful and polite.
Personally I wouldn’t give it two stars ⭐️
Basically it’s an old worn out hotel that has been refurbished to a low standard.
Hidden expenses (parking, VAT) Great view of the port from our top floor room but no cupboard (open self unit instead) and no chairs. Tiny tiny bathroom (shower and toilet only) with inadequate lighting.
There was a large group of S. American labourers staying at the hotel who were quiet and not bothersome at all but we were asked to sit well away from them and the buffet in the dining room.
Breakfast was quite sad, the workers had had their breakfast very early so when we arrived at 9 there were just scraps of salads left in the bowls, dried out eggs and bread, no butter, no Nescafe (we had to ask then wait). We were the only two people in the dining room and the staff were cleaning the floor as we sat there. We have stayed at the hotel before, when it was known as The Theodore and it was great, this time it was very disappointing. It's a great location with a good view but thats all. Shame
Equipe sempre sorridente e preste a te ajudar.
Recomendo.
A hotel that is soon going to be renovated, but no information about this. The whole hotel is suffering from this. The excuses we got when we came was, full hotel and a lot to do.... so we book you in the old part. In one one the rooms the bed was 70% of the floor. Will not recommendations this hotel.

Room was clean and comfortable, furnished in a minimalistic style.
Finding the hotel by car was difficult.
Fair at best, it was a bed and breakfast at maximum
