Stay for 3 days 2 nights because the location is just walking distance to Adventist hospital as one of my family member admitted. The location is good but next building of the hotel is under construction, so it was very noisy from 8am. During 12am, you still able listen what neighbour talking at the corridor. It's was so bad for me which not able to sleep well.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to Penang Adventist Hospital (5 minutes' walk) so I was more or less prepared for the shortcomings. This property is run down and offers basic amenities. No empty mini bar, phone or bottled water in room, but the reception is staffed even at night so that's a plus. There's a water dispenser and soft drinks for sale near the reception. I had the 'Romantic' room. There was what looked like a lump of hair and chewing gum the size of a 5 cent coin, stuck to the shower floor. I couldn't remove it - it looked like it'd been stuck there for eons and it really grossed me out every time I used the bathroom! After my first request the day after check in for help to remove it (via reception), nothing was done, so I left it alone, as my stay was just 4 nights The bathroom presented all the challenges, besides the unwanted permanent floor 'decoration'. The shower area had no curtain so after a shower, the toiket, toilet roll, the whole floor plus a bit of the bedroom's side was wet wet wet. I made daily requests for changes of 2 floor mats (1 was for wiping the floor only). On the service, the staff were all friendly - Afekah (sp?) and Hashim were polite and responsive, provided accurate directions when requested. They were the plus point of this stay.

The caretaker /manager, Mr Lim, is a cheerful, friendly, and super helpful man. He is a credit to the owners, and i just hope they realise what a dedicated, and helpful man they have running their establishment. Without Mr Lim, the gurney would be nothing..!!

Is an inn, not called a hotel

It is very disappointing hotel with a simple and poor accommodations. A room is too small without free toiletries and a refrigerator as stated on hotel advertising. A room is not yet clean up with opened window after check in and there are many mosquitoes. It takes 5 minutes to boot up the engine of an air-conditioning. It is a two-storeyed building with outside reception area. If you stay at ground floor, it is necessary to lock up the window and door carefully at night. It is because a receptionist sometimes not at the place. Also, the hotel forgot to do the daily housekeeping as required by us. (just change some tidy towels). Maybe the hotel amenities are too old. We are shocked and frightened by the power was cut off suddenly. Since the fuse had blown by the thunder and heavy raining. It is very bad experience and not recommend to friends. This hotel is not worth the price.

Room was a basic concrete box just larger than the bed. The doorway to the shower had to be left open until you turned around in the shower. Everything was just too small to swing a cat.
