"Nice motel with great of the lake and pretty gardens. Easy walk to town. Well equipped kitchen. There was a mix up with our booking so we only had one bathroom rather than the 2 we asked for. Bathroom was quite small"

"The Kingsgate in Te Anau is conveniently located within reasonable walking distance of downtown. However, there is NO ELEVATOR (we were on 2nd floor!) and NO AIR CONDITIONING!! The hotel appears to be old and, although in fairly good condition, the lack of an Elevator & Air Conditioner were significant inconveniences. Also, their parking spaces are quite limited -- we were advised by the Front Desk Staff that if we drove our vehicle to dinner, we would most likely NOT be able to find a parking spot when we returned and would have to park wherever we could find a space along the street! If we were to return to Te Anau, I would choose to stay elsewhere!"
