We had a lovely welcome and the house was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we wanted. The small private garden and sun-trap patio were great, even in November, and surrounded by the large main garden. Most of the time it was silence outside, with just the sound of birdsong and leaves falling. Bliss! It’s a great base for visiting the beautiful towns and villages all around the area. We would definitely stay again.

A hidden gem

We stayed at the domaine, which is about 4km from Campsegret and access to the N21, for a few months while waiting for the proceedings of our house purchase to go through. The friendliness and helpfulness of our host Corinne and her family were incredible, and chatting with them helped us improve our French at the same time. The gîte was charming, with the kitchen particularly well equipped. Great walking trails in the woods nearby for when you stay with a dog.

Wonderful welcome

This was our second stay here and, once again, we were very impressed with the quality of the accommodation. Mme Ghion is a wonderful host and extremely helpful and friendly. The area is peaceful but there is easy access to Bergerac and other attractions. We visited as a group of three adults and one teenager and found plenty to do.

Lovely Gite in a beautiful location

My husband and i plus 2 teenage children had a great time at this Gite. You would definately need a car here as there is nothing within walking distance but because of this it is so peaceful. The Gite is really well equipped and clean and pool a great bonus. Madame Ghion and her family were very helpful and friendly. All in all a great stay which we would recommend to others.

Perfect “escape from it all” holiday

We had an absolutely wonderful week in this gite. If you are looking for total peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings then this is the perfect holiday accommodation for you. We had a lovely welcome from the owner who was always very friendly and helpful and always available should you require anything. The gite was very spacious and incredibly clean. It had all the amenities you could possibly want and more. The area is close to some great little restaurants and plenty of wonderful places to walk. There is also an artisan boulangerie about 2km away. You also have your own private pool which was essential for us as we have two children so kept them entertained plus we experienced incredibly high temperatures the week we stayed so it was perfect after a day of site seeing to just have a refreshing dip. If you are looking for total peace and quiet and a relaxing retreat this is the place for you. You can sit in your own private garden in the evening listening to the sound of crickets and watching the deer in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Will definitely be returning. One word of advice is to make sure you read the rental contract carefully as you will need to pay a deposit in cash upfront when you arrive this is to cover any damage which may occur. There are also additional charges for cleaning of property, water, electric, bed linen and towels which are deducted from that deposit when you vacate. This is just a formality which needs to be dealt with as soon as you arrive and was done all very amicably. All in all a wonderful stay which will hold very happy memories for us. Claire S & family

Entspannend

Gut bis sehr gut. Wer die Ruhe und Einsamkeit schätzt, ist hier sehr gut untergebracht. Der beheizte Pool ist optimal für den, der gerne mal schwimmt und kaltes Wasser scheut. Auch die Einrichtung und Ausstattung ist sehr gut durchdacht. Unser Hund hatte einen umzäunten Garten. Perfekt. Wir fanden es schade, dass wir im Herbst gefühlt ganz allein auf dem großen Gelände waren. Aus Erfahrung:Es war ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrradtouren mit Pedelecs. Das nächste Café in Campsegret war so gut zu erreichen.

Vakantie met gezin en hond

Leuke gezellige kleine woning die tip top in orde was alles was voldoende aanwezig. Alleen ontbraken er een paar lekker stoelen om gezellig na te tafelen in de tuin. Zwembad was ook top alleen misschien een tip om een hekje voor de trap de maken zodat bij ons geval de hond niet het zwembad in kan. Wat we minder vonden was onopgeruimde en slordige binnenplaats. Overal lag wel iets.En er zou een welness zijn maar in de jacuzzi zat geen water en de sauna was een opslagplaats voor hout etc. Van de mooie foto op de site was niet veel over dit vonden we wel jammer. Want we hadden er graag gebruik van willen maken want dit was ook een van de reden dat we dit complex geboekt hadden omdat er verder niet veel te doen is en je altijd met de auto erop uit moet. Maar de eigenaren waren wel heel vriendelijk en aardig maar konden dit niet oplossen

Très bon séjour

Superbe gîte dans un endroit très calme. Tout le confort dans le gîte très propre et très bien exposé, climatisé. La piscine un gros plus avec les fortes chaleurs. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour je suis plus que ravie d'avoir choisi le domaine du roc. Corinne la propriétaire du gîte d'une extrême gentillesse et très bonne communication si l'on a besoin avec un très gentil cadeau de bienvenue. Je recommande ++++

Très bon contact avec nos hôtes tout au long du séjour. Personnes toujours à l'écoute et d’une grande gentillesse. Propriété tres bien arborée ce qui est très agréable. Maison très propre et très bien aménagée, c’est sans hésitation la location la mieux équipée en vaisselle, petit et gros électroménager et accessoires de cuisine que nous avons réservée, rien ne manque ! et tout est d’une parfaite propreté. VERY SATISFACTORY!

The family took both gites. Spotlessly clean on arrival and Martine welcomed us nicely. A welcome pack too including some paté and wine! the gites are remote but a real bonus is the lack of any mechanical noise at all. comfort was very good, all equipment worked well including the needed AC ! The pools were good and warm enough. my only comment would be that if you wanted a new fresh loaf of bread you have to drive quite a long way to get some! The Gites are set in a very large garden and new umbrella was supplied while we were there - not necessary but nice! Also a brand new table tennis table was installed outside which was very appreciated. All in all a lovely place to stay and one we would not hesitate to recommend - but be happy with the peace and quiet!

Merveilleuse semaines

Je suis venue pour la première aux Cyprès en 2015 avec mon mari et mon bébé. Je suis revenue en 2017 avec mes parents, mon bébé devenu grand et mon deuxième bébé, tellement cela nous avait plu la première fois! La maison est parfaite, ni trop petite, ni trop grande! Le confort est optimal grâce aux deux grandes chambres avec grands lits, la chambre pour les enfants et les deux salles de bain et toilettes séparées. Cette maison est tout a fait adaptée pour lesfamiles avec enfants... rien de dangereux, un jardin clôturé et une piscine privée sécuisée ... les parents peuvent se reposer sans se faire du souci! L'aire de jeux avec balancoire et toboggan a beaucop plu àmon filsqui pouvait y rester des heures. La maison est très bien située, près de Bergerac et le Perigord est une région absolument magnifique,nous avons visité le Château de Monbazillac, le gouffre de Proumeyssac, la ville de Beynac avecune superbe balade en gabarre sur la Dordogne... Les propriétaires de la maison sont très chaleureux et soucieux du confort de leurs locataires. Ils sont présents pour répondre à nos questions, nous avons également volontiers converser avec eux sur la région,la famille, etc... Ils savent cependant garder leur distance ... ils sont présents sans pour autant "étouffer" les locataires. enfin, pourles passionnés d'équitation, la maison est à deux minutes des Ecuries du Grand Vignoble, où les chevaux sont magnifiques et les propriétaires très sympas ! je recommande vivement et reviendrai certainement !

Beautiful gite

Having stayed in June 2018. A great welcome on arrival. Great quiet location, good places to eat within a short drive. Pool was great. One small problem during stay, but our host's sorted this in the best time. Give is a great s size, Bbq was great. Would recommend this to anyone. Even now have suggested all my friends try h e 're. Will be going back.

Le séjour parfait

Excellent accueil et contact tout au long de nos quinze jours, avec nos trois petits enfants. Rien ne manque dans la maison, très propre et agréable. Piscine très appréciable au retour de nos nombreuses sorties et distractions qui ne manquent pas dans la région. Nous reviendrons avec beaucoup de plaisir !
