Very friendly welcome from Yasser. Fresh Moroccan tea and helpful in all the questions I had. House overall quiet and clean, with roof terraces and view over the old Medina. Breakfast is prepared individually depending on your wishes when you want to get up.Room equipoed with only the essentials but that is absolutely justified for the price.
Two very young kittens live on the terrace, they are well taken care of too.
The taxi driver didn’t know where the hotel was, hé drops you at any Medina entrance and you find it yourself.
Very noisy and cold, no heat.
No dining area, they serve your breakfast on a low table in the hotel lobby.
Continental breakfast is good.
I’ve stayed here a couple of times - very nice dar, well kept, clean and decent. Great location. Would recommend.
The service was a little off this time with the ladies a bit distracted chatting in the kitchen. And the young lad helping missing delivery of breakfast things. A few of us solo guests had to chase for things having waited for a decent amount of time
Both on days when there was a big group and after the group had left the next day.
Still all round a very nice place to stay.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dar El Q’dima, and it truly exceeded all expectations. Nestled in the vibrant Medina of Essaouira, this stunning riad offers an authentic yet luxurious Moroccan experience.
From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charm and beauty of the riad. The intricate details in the design, from the mosaic tiles to the beautiful carved woodwork, reflect the rich cultural heritage of the city. The courtyard, with its fragrant flowers, provided a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The rooms were equally impressive, each uniquely decorated with a blend of traditional Moroccan elements and modern comforts. My room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered a perfect mix of comfort and elegance and the attention to detail in the decor made it feel like a true Moroccan sanctuary.
What truly sets Dar El Q’dima apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay , BIG SHOUT OUT TO YASSIR he was nothing short of perfect. From recommending the best places to eat, their warmth and hospitality made me feel like a valued guest.
The rooftop terrace is another highlight of the riad – the views of the Medina and the ocean in the distance are breathtaking. It’s the perfect spot to relax with a refreshing mint tea and soak in the surroundings.
If you’re looking for an authentic, tranquil Riad Dar El Q’dima is the place to stay - Sincerely,
Hakim H.

El Qdima is by far the best hotel to stay in the medina however it does not consist of a rating that it deserves for the quality of service offered by current owners during the last year. In turn, I insist you to disregard manifold of the ratings written earlier. We came as two different families on holiday together and this hotel offered welcoming, warm hosts, who have fantastic recommendations for food and plenty more as well; a nearby vicinity, for minute tasks such as having a excellent hangout and near fabulous restaurants, for foods like lobster, octopus, sardines, oysters, local’s soup and get the opportunity to purchase seafood (mainly fish) from the market.
Personally, I have chosen to highlight the cheerful, caring owners for guiding us around this unfamiliar, unusual, unique region, which we were visiting for our first time. Lokman and Teresa passionately assisted us for any arousing assistance that was required as well as ones that would benefit us, making our stay much less stressful so in this spirit I would like to thank Lokman and Teresa dearly.
The location is wonderful making access to anywhere in the whole medina in a brisk walk of an under a stable amount of five minutes. Featuring this made it a seconds decision whether to travel back to the hotel for any miniature task.
Overall, the memories & experience is commended majorly because of the wonderful time that hotel staff offered to us. Everything above are the reasons that I recommend to stay here.
The riad is situated in alley in the city-Center. That‘s is positive. The room is relatively smal, dark, inadequately lit.
No chair, no smal table to put on for example a Notebook. No hangers in the wardrobe, lamp with Brocken bulb.
After having a shower, it‘s nesseseary to dry the bathroom wird a Litte carpet.
No corredponding Equipment availeble
The room isn‘t well maintaned.
