The host was very gracious welcoming us and answering any questions. The farmhouse is beautifully decorated with many special touches and very comfortable. It is obvious that great care and effort went into making it a memorable visit. The setting is lovely. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely farmhouse stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shilo Farms - our host was great and responsive to our needs. We had fresh eggs every morning, we joined their yoga session one morning, the goats were fun to feed. Our farmhouse was comfortable and beautifully designed. Liked all the eco-friendly touches. Enjoyed the serenity of the property.

Rest and Relaxation Abound

My husband and I were looking for the perfect spot to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. As the parents of 2 young kids, we wanted a place that was relaxing and tranquil with the option to go out and enjoy dinner, shopping, etc. This spot was absolutely PERFECT for that! The owners were very communicative and helpful throughout the check in process and the Farmhouse and surrounding grounds were beautiful. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials. We spent plenty of time hanging out and relaxing (and enjoying the lovely soaking tub) but also ventured out to Portsmouth which was only a little over 10 mins away. I also did a drop in yoga class which was a perfect way to recharge before heading back to our busy reality.

We didn't want to leave!

Loved our stay at the Farmhouse. Owners were responsive to any questions we had. Check-in was simple. Quiet, peaceful area. Interior was very nice. Bathroom upstairs with the shower was a bit small, but adequate for our needs. We were there during the heatwave, so the AC struggled to keep it cool upstairs one night, but there was a fan in one of the bedrooms to assist with air movement. Overall loved our stay and the owners. We did not want to leave!

Mom’s 80th birthday girls trip

We spent a week touring Cape Cod and the Portsmouth, NH area. We spent 2 nights at Shilo Farm and wished we’d stayed there the whole week! The accommodations are even better than advertised and Amylyn and Jonah are phenomenal hosts! We loved the goats, chickens, cats and dogs. We cannot say enough great things about this magical place. I booked a weekend at Shilo Farm hoping for a relaxing spot to celebrate a birthday. I was blown away! Not only is the farm even more beautiful in person, but the hosts were beyond considerate and accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished, the grounds are well cared for, and the hosts answered every question and helped us feed the goats and chickens. Every bit as beautiful as the photos and then some. A paradise stay if you are coming to Portsmouth.

A Time of Tranquility

My adult daughter and I had a wonderful time staying in the Nest Abode at Shilo Farm. Amylyn and Jonas are outstanding hosts who truly care about the world and its people and also about their guests. The apartment was immaculate. the beds were very comfortable and the fresh eggs for breakfast were delicious. We both loved the friendly goats, cats and Sasha the dog. The chickens have the best chicken-life that we have ever seen and were fascinating to watch. We walked the property, watched the sunset from the deck and enjoyed the swings. My daughter took two yoga classes with Jonas which she found to be excellent and ended the stay by "running with the goats", a totally new experience. A stay at Shilo Farm is truly a time of tranquilty.

What a birthday!!!!

Shiloh Farm was utopic, and the accommodations fell right in line. Amylyn and Jonas surprised me and my husband with a "Birthday upgrade", and were such gracious hosts. Along with their beautiful dog, Shasta, they greeted us upon arrival and gave us the grand tour of the farm. Precious goats, chickens, and cats rounded out the menagerie, and were sweet and approachable. Even Bean, the kitty, came to visit and spent the night with us! Our stay at Shiloh Farm was comfortable and memorable, and we would recommend it to anyone! Such a great memory for my 60th.

The Nest is Great!

The Nest is a beautiful and tranquil place made special by the presence of the nonhuman animals and the kindness of the owners. Also very close to beaches and Portsmouth.

Charming and quaint

Beautiful grounds with sunflowers and fruit trees, goats and chickens. Cleanest rental I have ever stayed in and owners use all natural products. Weather was very humid and the A/C was adequate for the living area but not so much for the bedroom on the second level. Fans helped a little but it did cool down in the evening somewhat. Great tub if you are a tub lover like me. Due to COVID breakfast was not provided but fresh eggs, butter, milk, coffee and blueberries were stocked in the refrigerator. Could have used some bread for toast and juice. Had some communication difficulties with owners regarding children being able to feed the goats and chickens. But we were still able to see them behind the fences. Overall a very restful and lovely stay. Highly recommend the Nest at Shilo Farm.

Relaxing Getaway

From the moment I arrived, Jonas and Amylyn made me feel incredibly welcome, inviting me to join them for a (delicious) homemade pizza party with folks from their yoga studio. The unit was spacious, thoughtfully decorated, cozy, and clean. I hope to return soon. I would caution tall people that some of the doorways require ducking, but I learned quickly after failing to do so once or twice.
