Große Zimmer mit hohen Wänden macht eine tolles Ambiente. Bad ebenfalls sehr großzügig dimensioniert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich am Empfang. Am besten ist aber die Lage des Hotels. Die Tram zum Flughafen ist nur 50 m entfernt. Ebenfalls nur ein paar hundert Meter das Parkhaus Q-Park mit 2 Autovermietern. Ideal für Abholen und Rückgabe der Fahrzeuge. Das einzige, was fehlt, ist ein Aufzug im Gebäude, was bei schweren Gepäck etwas mühsam ist.

Very spacious hotel in a convenient location with interesting design. The room we had was very large with a large bathroom. The room itself was not in perfect shape, but perfectly usable -- some switches didn't seem to control anything, the toilet seat was semi-detached, various things were not squarely mounted, but overall, the large bath, rain shower and other amenities made up for it. Internet was a little spotty at times, but mostly worked fine. It was nice to have a kettle with coffee and tea and some cookies every day. The location was great, next to a bunch of restaurants and dorms of University of Edinburgh where we were dropping off our son. The service by the front-desk staff was very friendly and useful. We enjoyed our stay at the Rooms & Suites Picardy Place.

Lovely hotel 😻

This was a lovely place to stay. Very spacious for the city and compared to other places. Shower was lovely. Only complaint was that WiFi didn’t work in my room, but it worked in the hallway so I made due. Overall was an amazing stay.

Detta var ett riktigt dåligt Hotel! Dem har nattklubb i bakgården, så rummen är inte behagliga att sova i. Renlighet var inte prioritet. Kort sagt, boka inte detta hotellet för din vistelse i Edinburgh !

Picardy Place was situated very central and close to Princess Street which contained lots of stores. Our room was huge and spotless. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful with questions we had. We were there only one night but would definitely return there on our next visit to Edinburgh. The hotel is situated in the middle of a huge construction area so we were happy that we requested a quiet room at the back of the hotel. Note that there are approx. 26 stairs to the first floor of rooms but the clerk had our suitcases in our room but the time we came back to check in. We had dinner in the adjoining restaurant and while it was expensive, the food was very good.

Our room was terrible, right at the top of many stairs and it had a glass cupola over the bed which meant it felt like a hot house. We got a fan to make it cooler but I woke at 5am because of the light. The shower turned in and off while I was in it. The sink had nowhere to put the wet soap which slipped off the narrow shelf. Think design over substance. The main staircase looked dirty (carpet and walls). Will not return.

Lovely boutique property, room beautifully furnished and staff great. Only issue was that we were on the very top floor and it was so hot. They did have a fan but even with the fan on at all times the room was super hot. It would be nice to have an option of breakfast.

Loved my stay! If I’m ever back at Edinburgh I’ll be staying here. Check in was easy the staff graciously carried my suitcase up the four floors; which I appreciated after a long flight. My room was GORGEOUS. Skylight was too cool. The steak restaurant was fantastic - atmosphere, food, and great staff. My only very minor grievance would be that the wifi did not work. I called down she said she would reset the modem but it didn’t work my whole stay.

Since the last time i stayed at this hotel , the decor is really tired , first impressions count and the front door could do with a freshen up , the walls going up the stairs are all scuffed . There was a fan in the room but it didnt work . I wont be back

Amazing hotel!! We loved one of the front desk staff, he was great. And our room was soooo pretty! We ate at the hotels restaurant though, and would not recommend.

Excellent and friendly staff at the property, they were very helpful and made us feel at home! The room itself was great. Unfortunately it doesn’t get full stars because there was an outside bar area right below our window. The place must rent out to different groups because the first night we had to listen to shouting and loud music until the early morning hours. The next night was perfectly silent. I know it’s somewhat outside the hotel’s control, but it did detract from our room

Overnight in Edinburgh

This hotel is situated in a convenient location in Edinburgh although Loch Lomond, being at the front of the hotel was not the quietest of rooms due to the extensive roadworks immediately outside. The room itself, situated on floor 2 and no lift, is very spacious with a modern wet room as a bathroom. The floors however are very creaky! -It is an old and imposing building. Very efficient and friendly staff are there to help you make the most of your stay.
