This was a great option for our group and convenient to bus stops, stores and shops! Safe and just outside the city it was a great option and affordable!

Good location for us. Parking avaiilable in Abercorn Avenue. Morrisons close by. Good access to buses into town. Good walks nearby. Friendly manager. Clean. We were at the back of the guesthouse. Couldn’t hear any traffic.

Very clean space. Very economical for Edinburgh. A bit tight for 3 adults but we knew that before, knowing we would be there only for sleeping. Great location. Bus stop is right across the road. Less than 20 minutes to the heart of the city.

Room and bathroom clean and comfortable, breakfast fine - host worked to accommodate my dietary requirements but to say there is free parking is a bit crafty as there is no car park but find your own on-street parking somewhere nearby

Brae Guesthouse is a little ways out of downtown Edinburgh but just a 10-minute ride on a bus that goes by often. The owner was very nice and extremely helpful. I stayed there at the end of a trip in which numerous things had gone wrong, not least of which was having my wallet and phone stolen. The owner was more than kind and supportive, and made sure my stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend this property.

Disappointed as reports saying Excellent ion my opinion it was very average, no mention of self check in, parking was on the street only. No breakfast available. Not sure that I like having a private Bathroom, I would prefer an ensuite to the room.

It's quite a distance away from any activities if you are coming to Edinburgh for Fringe Festival. But the staff is responsive, it just wasn't an ideal location for me.

A wonderful B&B to stay and relax.

This was the second bed and breakfast my family stayed at in Scotland. Our first was a self catering, which means all food is your responsibility, so we were hoping for a better experience. I have to say that the Brae House was amazing. It’s a converted home to a B&B, but there was enough room for my family of four. The owner was super friendly and helpful. The check in was seamless and when we had any issues, my wife accidentally tripped a breaker, he fixed it without any frustration. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. It’s close to a bus stop, so getting to the city center was very easy. I would definitely stay there again.

El lugar estaba bastante limpio, con suficientes toallas y buena calefacción. Tiene un aire bastante hogareño. Nosotros pasamos dos noches y un día entero allí debido a que llegó una tormenta a la ciudad y el host siempre se mostró muy amable, respondió a todas nuestras preguntas e incluso nos ayudó a calentar nuestra comida ya que no era recomendable salir. Está un poquito retirado del centro pero con transporte o caminando un ratito se llega bien. ¡Gracias por todo, nos gustó mucho!

Einfache und ruhige Unterkunft, sehr freundlich

Der Besitzer war immer sehr hilfsbereit - sei es bei einer späten Ankunft oder als ich mein Gepäck nach dem Auschecken noch dort lassen wollte oder sonst etwas brauchte. Das Zimmer und Bad waren tadellos sauber bei meiner Ankunft. Sie wurden nicht jeden Tag gereinigt, aber das ist aus meiner Sicht auch nicht nötig. Die Unterkunft war sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück war für mich nicht ideal. Es gab zahlreiche süße Gebäckteile und gezuckertes Müsli sowie Marmelade. Aber wenn man etwas wollte, das nicht süß ist, blieb nur Toast mit Käse, und das 5 Tage lang.

Weekend stay

We booked the family room for a weekend. The host was very accommodating as we have arrived way earlier than expected and were allowed to check in and rest. Also, we had diet requirements and the host was happy to cater for.

Nice short stay b&,b

The room we stayed in was a nice size and it had an extra single bed,very clean and tidy,I just wish it had a bedside lamp.The bathroom was lovely,nice shower.This is a nice B&B for a short stay and it's not too far from the city centre.
