Booked a double room but on arrival I was given a single room. Reception staff were helpful and they resolved the issue for me straight away. Pity that these little things keep happening even though I frequently stay here for work purposes. Otherwise it's a clean and tidy hotel.
Great stay only thing was no electric plugs by the bedside has to ask for a long lead so my husband could plug in his sleep machine which he need very night staff very friendly and help full would stay again on my return to dundalk

Good value accommodation, a bit isolated
I have stayed several times at the Carnbeg (under various brand names). It was built on the north side of Dundalk beside the motorway bu the motorway exit never materialized. As a result the hotel is a little isolated and a car is a necessity. The hotel is a little sad and has not been updated much, but the rooms are big and they have a big pool, a gym and a golf course. Generally they offer very competitive rates so well worth considering
Wouldn’t stay again from the minute we arrived staff were unwelcoming and not wanting to serve food as it was 3 minutes to 8:45 and it was finished at 8:45, we waiting At the bar til I actually had to call someone (4 behind the bar) one was Busy serving others Not busy
First time at the Carnbeg Hotel, we had a fantastic time there, the staff were brilliant, nothing was to much, reception staff great, bar staff great, cleaning staff great, food /drink great, pool great, 10 out of 10, my opinion, just like to say thanks for a brilliant weekend, to all at the Carnbeg,
Ok hotel overall. Rooms could do with a freshening up and sound proofing. Rooms had bagged bars of soap which they replaced each day which seems a waste. Some of the food was good but others not so much and service slow. Gym is better than their limited photos.
I was very disappointed with my hotel room it was dirty and not what was promised online the room was very basic and there were stains on the floors , we didn’t even get breakfast the next morning as there were no tables and we were shouted at by a member of staff for attempting to clean the table ourselves and then the staff member took the plate of food we had and threw it out telling us we would have to get more the service was terrible and the food looked old and not worth eating overall I was very dissatisfied
As always.. its very good!!! Staff are all nice, place is very clean. Food is good. A real holiday. Among 4 hotels in Dundalk We stayed in. This is the one that we always go back to.. welldone!!

Poollandschaft: absolut desolater Zustand.
