The staff and management was great. called 10 minutes after check in to see how our room was and ai casually mentioned there was a bit of a smoke smell and within 5 minutes the manager called and offered a new room

The staff at the counter were very nice and accommodating, everything else was “lipstick on a pig” unfortunately. The whole hotel could use quite a bit of TLC, from the facilities to the rooms. Lobby furniture is all stained and deep cleaning clearly had not been done in some time. The gym was small and limited, I wouldn’t have a problem with this if it weren’t for missing dumbbell weights and a treadmill that stuttered and wasn’t smooth at all, take caution for injuries. The pool was very small, it was nice when no one was in it but the moment you had anyone else in there, it gets unbearably loud so don’t let the pool be a deciding factor. The rooms could use a facelift, the carpets are filthy and the comforters were stained and contained hairs, the faucets and shower hardware are all loose. The breakfast, eat whatever is made fresh, otherwise it’s a gamble with dry and hard food that isn’t replaced. Wouldn’t stay here again, I’d spend a little extra and find somewhere updated and cleaner.

Would have been 5 stars.However was not told when booking that credit card would be charged $150.00 deposit.That is suppose to be refunded in 6 to 8 business days.Also shower water was hard to regulate.Was either to cold or to hot.Also shower head was weak.Breakfast was nothing special.Had biscuits but no gravy.Staff was helpful and friendly.

It was a decent stay for the average amount paid. We stayed one night after going to a hockey game in downtown Detroit. The sheets were clean, TV worked and breakfast was OK. It's not like their competitor's hotel, which might be a little newer looking or having a better breakfast but for the price, it wasn't bad.
