Cute, quaint hotel. Thankful they were pet friendly, but not much area to walk them, so we had to go to the city park. The room was cute, but small. The beds were a touch soft, so if you’re used to a firm mattress, this may not work for you. Loved the option for the online check-in, everything was communicated through texts, which I liked.

The lodge has been updated but the rooms are a bit scuffed and are showing wear-and-tear. The grounds are basically dirt so it's dusty and dry. Friendly staff. Nice coffee and communal lounging area.

Stylish hotel, highly recommended.

At first sight Mellow Moon looks like a standard Motel but nothing could be further from the truth. Our room was really comfortable, spacious and stylishly decorated with everything we could ask for. The owner was very welcoming and gave us some great steers for eating out and sightseeing.Highly recommended.

What a great surprise to find this gem! Historic, Route-66 feel with chic design touches, tucked into a charming little mountain town. Great experience and perfect stop on our way to a wedding in Durango. Highly recommend!

We normally stay with friends in our visit to Del Norte, however plans had changed and I had always driven past Mellow Moon and was excited to book a stay here for a few days. We were expectedly happy with the decor, cleanliness and hospitality. Lauren was incredibly helpful and attentive which you don’t get at most places. The room provided everything we needed and right in town a walk away from local eateries, coffee shops and lite shopping. A hike or scenic drive is a short distance away. The beds were so comfy and we appreciate the eco friendly options available. Please do yourself a favor and book a stay here and check out the gift shop area. Thanks MellonMoon!
