Good value. Fantastic location. We loved being right next to the river, and just blocks from the action, but without the noise of downtown. A few things are odd—our first suite didn't have any windows. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful, and was willing to move us to another room. Another odd thing (that is very common in Ecuador) is that, even though there was hot water in the kitchen sink, there were no hot showers.

Cuenca getaway

We love this hotel/apartment and continue to come back. Tha staff is most friendly and helpful and willing to go out of their way. The rooms, while all different are spacious and very well appointment enabling use to prepare full meals. The location, on the river and walkway is perfect for walking to restaurant's, shopping or just a short stroll.

Perfect location, great value in Cuenca

Our check-in went very smoothly. Receptionist, spoke perfect English and explained property, she took us to our rooms to make sure we settled in and answered all of our questions. During our stay all questions or issues we taken care of promptly. the rooms and common areas were very clean. The location was perfect, right on the river and it's walking path, shopping and restaurants are all within a short walking distance. Free parking was a huge bonus and short term parking in front of the hotel made check-in and check out very convenient. I have been coming to Cuenca for 10 years and this is my new go to place.

We stayed for 21 nights in June-July. It was wonderful. Nice, newly renovated, modern apartments. Marcela and Amelia were friendly, able to communicate in English (because my Spanish was lacking), always helpful, accommodating, and responsive to our requests. Marcela even helped me with my Spanish and was a great source of information for all things Cuenca. The apartment was fully furnished to include in-unit laundry. The bed was comfy and there was no shortage of hot water in the shower. The apartment is located on Rio Tomebamba, next to Puente Roto. The sound of the river made for a nice, calming atmosphere. Great location to be able to walk anywhere in the city. The Supermaxi and Mercado 10 de Agosto are a short walk for all your grocery needs. Excellent restaurants right on the same street. We really enjoyed our stay. I look forward to seeing Marcela again too. Whenever we travel to Cuenca, Santa Lucia Suites - Barranco will be our home.

I felt very confortable, the suite was spacious, and had everything. The staff was very attentive, warm, prompt to help me in any way possible. The location was great, closed to the old town and the modern too. The surrounding is beautiful right on the Tomebamba river, you couldn’t ask for more. I will recommend this place in a heartbeat.

The best recommendation I can say is that I would definitely stay there again. I absolutely loved it. Beautiful views, comfortable accommodations, and great amenities. Kind staff who followed up when our flight got delayed. I will stay there again. The only negative and it has NOTHING to do with Santa Lucia. The cab drivers couldn't find the Suites.????

La propiedad es muy bonita, cómoda, limpia y siempre he tenido una buena atención por parte del personal. Sin embargo en mi ULTIMA visita, porque será la última, personal de la propiedad abrió la puerta de la suit mientras descansaba, para entrar a sacar una camisa de otro huésped que han dejado secando en la secadora de la suit que me asignaron. Esa terrible falta de respeto y de seguridad hizo que decida no volver a reservar en esta propiedad.

Las habitaciones son sumamente cómodas , amplias y tienen cocina. Son ideales para una estadia larga. El personal es sumamente amable. Lo malo es que cuando cocinan el olor a comida de las habitaciones entra a las otras, es sumamente desagradable. El baño tenia un mal olor . No hay una recepcion en el dia, no hay donde dejar las maletas, definitivamente es mas un buen lugar para estadias largas y no tanto para cortas
