Spa services not available. Had to go to next property over to get spa services not convenient. No room service available was a downer. Stayed here a week before X-Mas would think everything would be open.Everything is close by including shuttle to town was awesome. Loved the heated pool and hot tub open real late for adults. I would still come again. Beds and rooms were cozy. Staff here amazing, hospitable.

Work trip to Mt Crested Butte
My trip was “early” season, but for midDecember the service and amenities of the hotel was lacking. There were no food options for dinner throughout the entire village. Seems that the entire resort community believes the buss ride to town is completely acceptable for folks staying slope side. Skeleton crew throughout the hotel. No one clearing the beautiful new snow from sidewalks or entryways. Clocks in the room had not been reset following daylight savings- it’s been a month and a half. Dead batteries in the TV remote, that only partially worked once I replaced the batteries with ones I bought myself. I stayed for the deal, free parking, and free wi-fi. Just not impressed with any other aspect of the stay. Vail Resorts should be capable of better.
Great property. Good location. Heated pool, hot tub, and spa. Decent breakfast buffet, expect to pay $20/person. No dinner, but restaurants nearby.
Had an issue with the thermostat, made call the next morning, and it was fixed same day. Great service from CB Lodging (manages the property).
Not all rooms at the lodge are maintained by the lodge staff. The room I stayed in was actually owned by someone else. The lodge only checks you in and out. They do not provide any services as these are done by the owner who they pay. Could not get a receipt for the stay. The office where they are is off site and not staffed 24/7. The lights did not work in the room. The power strip on wall came off the wall when I unplugged my phone charger. I had to hook it back up. No trash can in bathroom. Very loud until 1:00 AM. Walls are thin between rooms and you hear everything.
I have prepaid for the stay through orbitz.com. After arrival "The Management" charged my credit card without authorization. Over a week after the incident is not fixed and money are not returned on my credit card. Very disappointing. Caused me lots of stress.
I really liked the people that met us at the door and got my skis for me. The check in clerk was rude and condescending to both myself and my wife. I couldn’t have asked for a less comfortable mattress. It needed to be replaced years ago. We were put in a room right next to the back door so we had to listen to people coming and going all of the time. I would not recommend or stay there myself.
The Grand Lodge is definitely once of the nicest properties available to the public in the Crested Butte/Gunnison Valley. Nestled at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, it's location simply cannot be beat. At the main stop on the bus line, Steps away from the Silver Queen chair lift, restaurant in the hotel. Steam room was so clutch after a long day on the slopes. Dog Friendly!
Two brief negatives for me:
1) They have a full restaurant and bar area that was not in operation during the day. I was making sandwiches for the ski hill back in my room and needed brown mustard. Went to the front desk to ask if an employee would go into the restaurant and get me some. She instead was rude and told me to walk across the street and buy mustard from the store. Silly..... I just paid $400 for a 2 night stay and you can't comp me some mustard? Poor Service
2) The unit I stayed in was in the hotel, but was owned and operated by a separate LLC. We called for a late check out on Sunday AM to get an extra 1/2 day on the mountain. The girl at the front desk confirmed a late check out, but come 10 o'clock room service was pounding on our door expecting us to be out. Apparently there is no communication between the hotel and the privately owned and operated rooms. This put us in an uncomfortable situation. Again, poor service.
Overall, it was a great time. I love CB, and will be coming back for many years, and will most likely stay at the Grand Lodge again if the rates are reasonable.
I stayed there before, the eating area needs updated, and to be a bit more accessible during off hours

Disappointing
The room itself was nicely appointed. However, it was very noisy and very warm with no AC. The closet was not working and the linens fell out as I opened the door. There was no view and a 10:00 am checkout is hardly worth the stay.
I booked the room two weeks before, they gave me a room at the ground level close to the back entrance. I am not satisfied, and they said they can't do anything I have to call hotels.com to get help. What a excuse.
The view of the hotel dumpster right outside the window was awesome. The carpet was pulling up at the doorway, tripped over it. The bed was well broken in, hole where you sleep and a high ridge in the middle. Hotel restaurant was not open even though the hotel was fully booked.
First time I stayed in a hotel room that was individually owned, that could be the reason for the need of updating.
Great room, staff were very friendly and helpful. I just wished that I knew that it was early season, as many restaurant had restricted hours. Enjoyed the gravity riding at Evolution, helped improve my downhill biking skills
So this room is not part of the management of the remainder of the hotel. So checking in took a while. The room wasn't cleaned daily and it was cold outside and the heat was not on so the room was a bit chilly too.
Booked one of the condo units not part of the hotel, it was very nice had a small kitchenette, roomy even had a couple fans which really cooled the room off. I would definitely stay here again. Immediately next door to the bus stop down into town which is only 3 miles away. Loved Crested Butte, the town and the people
This hotel has an amazing location. Very very family friendly. Really nice pool that has both an indoor and outdoor feature. . . The restaurant onsite is okay - not great.

Nice hotel.
Would book directly with hotel, so I would know my choices. Nice hotel, we had to have one of the worse rooms.

my stay was great!! Although the lounge and the restaurant was closed down this time of year.
Uncomfortable rooms, confusing check in, and staff was not very helpful - sent us to the wrong elevator bank with all our bags, then when we got to the right elevator bank and to our room the room keys did not work.
