Ploughing Inn
The hotel itself was clean but worn. The room was very hot and there was only a very small fan to cool the room when we had to close to door and window. Breakfast was very good.
Friendly reception. Although no table available in the pub for dinner staff went out of their way providing room service at no additional charge. Clean, spacious and comfortable
We got married here 10 years ago so this was an anniversary trip. The hotel anx pub are even better than I remember, lovely place. Great food and service, excellent breakfast. Thank you.
Comfortable room. Great food, beer and service in the pub. plus a great breakfast in the morning. About to leave and found I had a flat tyre due to a puncture. The staff were brilliant and let me have use of my room until I managed to get someone out to repair it.
Will stay again next time I am visiting the area on business.
Very clean and well maintained. The decor and furniture were excellent as well as the bed being comfortable. Staff very friendly and it is obvious they put a lot of loving and care into the place.
Really nice place for a one night stay, pub is cosy and welcoming and food was nice, rooms are a good size and comfortable, bit of noise from other rooms but nothing major
Very nice rooms. Though they don't offer all night reception they left a note on the door to advise how I could gain access to my room which was very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent.
Very fast checkin, the food at the pub is also excellent

Plough Inn, Eaton
The staff were pleasant, the room was adequate, not a lot else I can say other than it served its purpose. Perhaps slightly better bathroom / shower products.
I stay at The Plough when in the area and have for 12 years. There is a good pub and pretty good selection of food. Rooms are OK - beds a little hard. Very good value
Arrived tired and ready to relax. We were booked in room five of the hotel annaexe. What greeted us was a dirty stained carpet and a soiled bed headboard that would be better placed in a builders skip. The bedding was clean but full of holes. The bathroom was beyond words, but the ones I will use is grubby with black mold, and scalding hot water from a shower tap that couldn,t be controlled. Not all the lights were working. Disco in barn win was disturbing and we were not informed that this was on before we booked. Overall the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
Brief overnight stop on a long drive into Manchester. A bit noisy at night due to party in the pub across from the lodgings but ended before too late. Great staff, good full English breakfast (though lacking vege alternative). Comfortable and with friendly staff.
