Have stayed here several times and the location is great. Within walking distance of the stadiums and Freedom Center. The rooms are clean and there is enough space to walk around.
This hotel is not worth the money. There were holes in the carpet and a huge burn mark from an iron. The beadspread had a large hole. The desk chair was falling apart & the soda machine, down the hall from us, didn't work. I'm happy that I only stayed there one night.
The hotel is a dump. In fact, it gives the word a new meaning. I have stayed in countless hotels some excellent, others. fair at best. This had to be the worst experience of my life. I cut my trip short because of this hotel. I stayed for two nights and that was too long. Oh yeah, did I mention I am retired from a major hotel chain. I was a supervisor. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 front desk employee the whole time we were there. No maid service first 2 days. Elevators were 20 feet away and they kept us awake every night, all night. No information regarding any hotel amenities, telephone #, area info, nothing. Vending machines were empty and the ice machines were out of order, except on 1 floor. Continental breakfast was ok, and the valets were excellant.
To tell the truth, I was extremely dissatisfied with this hotel. To just name a few things, The security lock was busted off of the door. One bed spread as well as a bed skirt had huge rips in them. Large enough that I could put two of my hands in them. One of the two full beds was so worn out that the "mattress" kept sliding off and my child fell onto the floor. As we were walking down the hallway, there were several doors that had the whole lock and handle missing. There is more, however, I feel they are too numerous to mention. Needless to say, I will not be using Hotels.com for any more of my reservations.
If you are into peeling wall paper, dirty stained carpet ho-hum service that requires two calls to the desk to get an extra pillow, it's the place for you. I guess it would have been OK for about half the price.

Good Price for Downtown Hotel
Just visited Cincinnati to catch a few Reds games. I had no idea what hotel to choose, but selected this one. Overall, very happy with the selection. VERY close to the football and baseball parks, nice room, price was excellent, and breakfast was nice for continental-style. It is a little older as a hotel, could use some renovations, but I would return without a doubt.
The hotel right downtown Cincinnati. It needs to "frump" itself up, but is still neat and clean. Great complimentary breakfast and "coupon" for a well known restaurant for lunch. Last minute reservation - first class service by the staff!!
While this hotel has seen better days, it is clean comforatable and reasonably priced. Ir you do not need amenities and don't mind a little shabbiness, The Terrace is a godo value for a downtown location.
The hotel was within walking distance to Great American Ballpark which was a hugh positive. The valet guys were quick to retrieve my car and I would absolutely go back next year!

Needs Improvement
Before even checking in I was upset with the vallet parking when he skirted my wheels and drove my car to the parking lot like a madman. Coming from NJ we got to the hotel around 1:00, and they wouldn't check us in till 3:00 which is a 1st time of that happening to me so we waited around with our luggage for 2 hours. The location of the hotel was the best thing about it. We booked the corner suite which was an average roomn at any ofhter hotel, but we did have an excellent view of the city. It was awkward tho in the bathroom because their was a mirror across from the toilet so you were watching yourself on the pottty as you went. If I ever go back to Cincinnati which I do plan on doing, I'll never stay at this hotel again.

Decent placw to stay
The bed in the rooms were listed as queens, however they appeared to be super twins. The hotel was close to the Great American Ballpark and Paul Brown stadiums easy walking distance. Overall a good room for the price.
People were very friendly and met our needs. The hotel was very nice and clean. We recommend this hotel to others.
My adult son and I were in town to see some ball games. Hotel close to the ball park and we could walk to the park for the hotel.

Good value
A good value and
great location.
A plus would be if they had free internet services in the rooms. I travel a lot and can use my wireless--most hotels have this free service.
Air conditioning did not work, mattress & pillows smelled bad, the rooms were very noisy, expensive to park. On the up side, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The staff I met were all friendly and helpful. I checked in very late and wasn't sure I'd be able to get something to eat. The front desk staff person on duty called a nearby bar and grill to make sure the kitchen was still open.
Continental breakfast was better than I expected and much appreciated. Others I worked with were at another hotel and they didn't get breakfast.
Hotel is not modern and quite "poor", but if you just need a room to sleep perfectly suitable.
The service/price ratio is very high.
Not really suitable if you travel with children.
Don not expect facilities to work.
Bar was always closed.
Clean, mostly quiet even on a Saturday, VERY convenient to ballpark and downtown.

Good hotel for the price
Since it's a bargain.. i had no problem with the outdated rooms. I wouldn't call the condition "worn"... maybe just "gently used". For the rate.. it's a good place to stay
Decent for the money, but overall not very clean or comfortable
Air conditioning was broke in room and it was very hot. The carpet was very stained in the room and the room across the hall had the door cracked and bashed in. The blanket on the bed also had several visible stains and other "stuff" on it.

Small rooms, smaller beds
The beds were so small that we almost needed to have two rooms for the four of us. My husband and I felt like we were in a twin bed. The walk to the ballpark was good and there was plenty of shopping close to the hotel.
