Satisfied customer

The motel is dated but kept up very nicely. Room was clean, the outside of the property was clean/ maintained well. Customer service was great, the person at the front desk was very kind/ welcoming. The location is awesome, shopping, restaurants, highways very near by. I would definitely stay there again.

Decent budget motel

Convenient budget motel location away from Chicago. Very basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. Free coffee in the check in area was available (no coffee maker in the room). An overhead light was nice but no table lamps by the bed was a bummer. Some nearby eating options such as IHOP. Overall, good enough for a one night stay while passing through

Great Stay

My wife & I have stayed at the Starway Inn several times before over the past few years. It is always a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly & helpful. We've never had any issues or problems with this property.

Easy location. Quiet? Well the highway is right there so not really! Very Affordable and fine for a just a sleep spot.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was pretty solid. It’s not great but it’s not bad. The bed and bathroom were clean, WiFi was good, and there was plenty of parking. Even tho it was right next to the highway it was still quiet. The room did smell strongly like cigarettes which wasn’t ideal. Some sketchy residents as well. Good place for a night or two.

Rough area, average motel.

Not great, but it is a smoking motel and the bar next door was a good time. Average kinda outdated motel. Price was fine and the location was close to the event I was going to in Munster. Right off the high way. Fine for solo travel, wouldn't bring kids here.

Great budget option with everything we needed!

We really enjoyed staying at Starway Inn. The room is obviously older and a little beat up but we didn't care about that one but. We slept great every night and had clean towels brought every day! The restaurant right next door was awesome and super convenient to the highway. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Chicago next year!

Surprisingly comfortable

For a cheap motel outside Chicago it was amazingly comfortable. Even though it was right off the highway it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and water pressure was great. The restaurant/ bar next door was friendly with good food.

room was dated but clean and warm. Shower preseure could have been greater. TV was nice flat screen. Bed was comfy, 4 pillows was nice. Frig/freezer and micro wave good to have. Area was OK, quiet and did not notice folks loitering and such. The bar next door was nice, ate and drank a bit there. Overall if I was in the area again would stay here.

I booked this place because it had decent reviews and was very budget friendly. Staff was very nice. Room was decently clean. But very, very run down building and rooms. Did not smell very good. It was not at all what I was expecting. Will not return.

Great place for sleep and shower, no frills

The room smelled fresh and linens were clean. It is obviously an older (probably at least 30 years) motel and had some cosmetic changes due to its age and outdoor room entrances. Staff very nice and I thought it was a good deal for $75. It is however, next to the freeway and with the normal aging process and being an outdoor entrance, the rooms are obviously not sound proof. The AC was quiet and efficient. Again, very nice place for bed and shower, no frills.

Rating is per the price point. Pros: - fast and painless check in. - bed was fair, room spacious. Cons: - the bathroom was in disrepair. Peeled paint, tile, fixtures missing (like toilet paper holder). It also smelled quite awful, likely unclean drains. - right under a major highway, so very loud. Soundproofing between rooms above/below is also not great. - Surrounding area does not inspire confidence, felt unsafe at multiple points. If what you need is a place to put your head down for a night on a budget, it's serviceable. Just don't go exploring the local area too much.
