A reasonably priced lodge although a little snug for 8.

A reasonably priced lodge although a little snug for 8. Plenty of information about facilities and lots of parking. A little ‘tired’ in places.

Fab lodge.

Fab lodge. Bedrooms great, comfy beds, lots of hot water and hot tub brilliant. Needs a 2nd shower not just a bath with up to 8 guests. And dishwasher needed cleaning through.

Accommodation is clean and spacious with everything you need.

Accommodation is clean and spacious with everything you need. The hot tub is very good. Only issue in our accommodation was that one bedroom was overrun with ants/flying ants. Several ant traps were in place so the problem was known but not mentioned when booking in. My three year old grandson picked up one of the traps asking what it was. Would have been helpful to know in advance.

Kitchen well equipped and easy to prepare food.

Kitchen well equipped and easy to prepare food. Washer dryer is useful although not mentioned on the website. Freezer was without shelves for some reason.. mentioned to staff. Some damp in the back bedroom… cold spell, heating and no wall insulation likely to be cause.Heating not working when arrived… called reception and it was resolved in a few minutes with a maintenance/site attendant sent to help immediately. Bedding and pillows very comfortable. Great accommodation all round.

The accommodation we stayed in was very nice, clean and well equipped.

The accommodation we stayed in was very nice, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was nice and clean, and warm on arrival. It had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Obviously it was quite small but that was expected. I was in a twin room as I wanted older relatives to have the double rooms.. I found the single bed very small and quite uncomfortable but mostly because I am quite tall and prefer a big bed.Heating and hot water worked great.. shower head didn't stay up and kept sliding down the pole.. which was a mild inconvenience. We have stayed in lots of places like this and it was pretty much as expected to be honest.

Beautiful lodge.

Beautiful lodge. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were great. Everything was clean (even though it was a dog friendly lodge!) The hot tub was clean and a brilliant addition to our stay. This was secure enough for our small - medium sized dogs.

Cabin was excellent, missed areas of cleanliness with dust but nothing major and had plenty of space

Cabin was excellent, missed areas of cleanliness with dust but nothing major and had plenty of space for us as a family of 4 adults. Mattresses were a bit firm on a personal point of view but couldn’t fault the cabin at all!The exterior of the windows needed cleaning - minor detail. We really enjoyed the hot tub.

Was a fab location with cheddar reservoir and Cheddar village/ Gorge, minutes drive away.

Was a fab location with cheddar reservoir and Cheddar village/ Gorge, minutes drive away. As well as many other places of interest not too far e.g., Blagdon Lake, Mendip Hills The lodge was adequate for our needs, lovely hot tub (wasn’t turned on when we arrived but staff helpful in solving this) Only issue would be cleanliness of lodge we stayed in, seemed unkempt (piles of dust on floor, streaks and prints on windows and mirrors, utensils and oven not great) and also the oven took an age to cook anything. Swimming pool lovely, especially for a little one, not very big so imagine gets hectic in peak seasons. However says heated but was not warm at all. Other facilities fab, lots to do for little ones but bar quiet for drinks. Lovely staff, lady on reception gave my little one a free duckie which was much appreciated! We would stay again!
