Great Staff

The staff make this hotel, it would be nothing without them, great food at breakfast and in the evening, bit of noise from traffic but not excessive. Room clean and does the job.

I will start with the positives, quick check in, nice small bathroom with plenty of towels. Now the negatives we ordered and paid for a queen size bed and received two single beds push together with two single mattresses so a lovely double ridge right down the middle of the bed, to make matters even worse these were both very old mattresses where the springs was loose in the mattress so which ever way you lay you had springs in your ribs or back. I reported this to reception and had to make them come and check it where the lady agreed it was awful, she them tried to made out she used the room within the last fortnight and had an amazing sleep, we went down stairs and another lady maybe the owner or manager said I’ll check it later (sorry but a member of your staff has just agreed it’s awful) nothing happened, we had a 3 night stay and on night 2 stayed elsewhere. Anybody thinking of booking please save your money.

Lots of stairs to our room , located on the top floor. The dormer ceilings were very low and the floor creaked badly. Didn’t have a good nights sleep as people were banging doors at 2 am and the curtain could do with being darker to block out the light . Slightly overpriced , I felt.

Unfortunately when I got to my room the shower was out of order which was far from ideal after a long journey. I had to go to a nearby golf club to take a shower, the light in my room also didn't work and the Wifi did not work. The only positive was that the bed was comfortable and I slept well. Overall a disappointing stay.

Single room was all that was available as everywhere sold out or extortionate prices . It’s above a pub so expect noise . I had the tiniest room ever . . Single bed in this day ! No table lamp . Claustrophobic really also . Did me 1 night but not for me .

Great price great stay!

The room was at the top , angled ceilings which might not be good for taller than 5ft2 , comfy bed if slightly creaky , didnt use tea making facilities , dinner and breakfast were amazing and very large portions, lovely coffee , great bar service and made to feel very welcome , definitely going back

Great value.

Big room, great price for what you get. Although some blackout curtains would have helped. Bar downstairs does great food and booze for a good price. This is not a 5 star hotel, but this is a 5 star review for the hotel.

Happy doggy holiday with corner hotel !!

We love corner hotel,! It's the staffs friendliness that makes it so relaxing and enjoyable. Food is fantastic, service first class !! We take our two dogs there twice a year to visit family in Arbroath.The dogs are welcomed as much as us, friendly , down to earth and will do anything to make your stay special! Would advise anyone with dog's to stay there

I thought the property outside to be unimpressive. The car park was not good, with a couple of wrecks lying in it. Inside, the property needed money spending on it. The room was OK, except for sound on BBC, which needed attention. I had breakfast which was really good. The staff were willing, but I felt lacked support and good management.

Comfy night's sleep

Stayed for 1 night in a double and a twin room. All the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. There were complimentary shower gel and shampoos and tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets with biscuits too! A bit of traffic noise when we opened the window during the night, but it didn't really stop us having a good night's sleep. The double room had a bath with a detachable shower hose, but we didn't have time for a bath so an overhead shower would've been more convenient for us. It didn't stop us from having an enjoyable stay however, and we would certainly stay here again.
