Was a great place to stay on such a tight budget. The kitchen could have been nicer and kept to a better standard. Some of the toilets needed to be cleaner and with handles on them, but Jimmy a good place to stay
Mrs Potts is super cute. I appreciated the privacy curtains on the beds and found the place to be unique. The location is great for accessing buses, trains, and just walking. There are restaurants, fast food, convenience stores right there. And it is near plenty of tourist attractions. Laundry service is available for a fee, which is convenient. I would definitely stay again.
Center of Cardiff. Convenient for food, shopping, etc. Code to go in hostel iland room. Bathroom was clean. Bed was neat. Has kitche. To use in the basement. Cant complain.

Room smelled of really strongly of chemicals, very uncomfortable spring mattress. Location was good, if these could be improved on. Wouldn't recommend for more than a night or two
It’s located in the center of the city. Close to all the facilities and entertainment area. Besides this, there is nothing I can say. Anyway, you get what you pay. It’s ok for short stay, but wouldn’t recommend for long stay.
The accommodation was ideal. Located in the City Centre a very short walk away from the Utilita Arena where I was at. Hotel prices particularly if you are on your own is extortionate when all you want is a bed for the night. To have this as well as access to a shower, free tea and coffee plus wifi for £22, you can't really complain. The two other lads sharing the room with me seemed decent people and the cleanliness of the building was to a good standard considering the age of the building.
The worst place I’ve ever stayed, we booked a room altogether months ago and the woman said we are all going to have to be split into different hostel rooms, she said they need that room for another group of three who haven’t booked in yet.. we are young women, after a very long conversation a manager came over and said we could just have that room, everything filthy all the toilets were broken and had poo in them, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, we were worried after reading review about bed bugs but they were putting new mattresses on the beds that day but left the plastic on them so all night they were crunching. I travel a lot and have stayed in a lot of hostels this is by far the worst! One good point is it’s very close to the stadium and restaurants!

Cardiff Half Marathon
First off, I had never paid so much for a bunk bed - $95. The city accommodations were almost full and for the price I wanted to pay, I had only found a couple other hostels with a lower price, ~$30 less that this one, in the central part of the city.
The reasons I went with this hostel were the more private bunk beds with the privacy blinders and the more sturdy and less squeaky wooden frames which were practical during the stay as people came in/out without all the metallic noises.
The other big reason that made me justify the $30 difference was the advertised "Free Massage". I thought it would be a good deal given that I was coming to run the Half Marathon and after a long trip it would benefit my legs. When I ask for it, I am told this offer is no longer valid, it had been about 2yrs now since they stopped this offer. So why keeping it on the list of the room amenities other than just for bait and false advertisement?
Other than that, the price point for this hostel out of this peak weekend seems to be in line with the property conditions, old and run down.
The property is in an old bank building, you can still see some tile and plaster works from that time, which is cute. But the building is run down, in decay process and with little maintenance. Very few bathrooms and restrooms for the amount of beds they have.
Kitchen is a small room in the basement, the ceiling was falling apart due to some water leakage from the level above. Small lobby, the only common area.
I liked the beds (maybe not the mattress itself…). They all had privacy curtains. Its old and very dated but low in price and the area it is in is great! Would stay here again.
